Rachel is a biologist, who discovers a fish called 'Gobinon' in the Midwest waters of a small town. Gobinon seem to have water cleansing effect to the water around them, and Rachel further more receives offers from prestigious scientific communities to travel and study the fish. Then Rachel discovers that she is pregnant with Peter's child, and her decision becomes ever more weighted. Gobinon is the story of divergent dreams among a couple who are deeply in love.—Anonymous

Synopsis

  • Peter is a self-taught graphic novelist and computer programmer by day, while his girlfriend Rachel is a passionate evolutionary biologist. They live with a Gary a Vietnam veteran who is also their Landlord in the country. GARY is eccentric to say the least, and when he discovers Rachel is pregnant he is less than tactful in addressing the issue. Rachel is Peters muse for the world of 'Janitor' a dystopic Graphic Novel about Humans and Cyborgs living together on earth. Peter draws and writes from his experience, and his deepest emotion is the love he feels for Rachel.

    Rachel and Peter love each other, but they both have separate dreams that take them in different directions. Rachel discovers a fish called 'Gobinon' whose odd evolutionary mating behavior inspires and enthralls her. The Gobinon also have a water cleansing effect in the waters they inhabit. This mystery puts Rachel in contact with scientific offers around the world. This is a dream come true for her career, and Peter is a dream come true for a significant other. But to follow the case of the Gobinon she must leave for Alaska, and to make matters worse, she is pregnant with Peter's child. She must make a decision that will define who she is for the rest of her life.
