A little green devil crawls up and down the wall like your friendly neighborhood Spiderman, and women pop out there. They float. Such are the powers of these demonic creatures.
Actually, if you look closely, you can see they're not on the wall. They're on the floor, and the camera is pointing down on them. It's another of the interesting magic trick shorts that were popular in this period, and this is the work of Sefundo de Chomon, probably the second most accomplished director of them. He had begun as a cameraman, and after this style of short subject had ended about 1912 -- when the camera tricks had been subsumed into the growing grammar of cinema, he returned to that profession.
