A bit unrealistic but entertaining

Warning: Spoilers
"Talons" is the story of a troubled artist, who gets insulted by a powerful art dealer and offered an opportunity for revenge, when he learns that some of the pieces have found their way to the collection on rather illegal ways. He decides to pull a heist and pay back for his own suffering.

The movie is clearly struggling with its low budget. As much heart and work the producers put into it, you can still see some differences to similar high budget films. It is easy to emphasize with the characters and you do want them to succeed in the end, even though it is maybe a bit unbelievable that an elementary teacher / professional car pilot out of no reason carries out an art robbery worth two million dollars. As in this example, many things are just a bit too good to be true, because the film would otherwise lack explanation for how some of the plot elements go together. Let's just say they didn't pull off the crime of the century and I would highly doubt, for multiple reasons, that they wouldn't get caught that way. Still, I was entertained and didn't get bored throughout the whole play-time and I feel like there is quite a solid foundation here to make even better thrillers in the future.

All in all this is a nice little movie, nothing spectacular, but if you're looking for something to watch to distract yourself, this is definitely not the worst choice.

Some people maybe shouldn't make movies.

An old picture of the Flatiron building in New York is used to show the villain's gallery exterior in the opening of the movie. That is far, far from the least coherent thing about this "movie."

A Bad Parody?

If this movie was supposed to be a parody, it was extremely badly done. I watched this movie unto the end only out of curiosity as to how things would pan out. Other than that, I probably would have switched to something else somewhere along the way.
