A bit more authentic than usual

Warning: Spoilers
The music video for Lady Gaga's "You and I" starts almost like a horror movie including a butcher and many more elements that would fit into a Freddy Krueger movie as well. Then the usual stuff from her videos comes up: lots of attempts to shock the masses, extravagant, nails, hair, makeup, hats, dresses and glasses. In a cornfield, Gaga plays the piano while Gaga in Elvis Presley outfit comes up with the vocals, before she starts making out with her alter ego. We see her as a mermaid. However, there are sequences here which are not as surreal as big chunks of her other work. Occasionally, you could almost think it is a country song, especially at the ending where there is pretty much nothing apart from her singing, and it also has some more traditional values here like the marriage scene. At least, to some extent, a somewhat different video looking at the style icon's previous pieces "Paparazzi", "Telephone" or "Bad Romance". There are still sequences with the intent to shock, but it's not the whole video anymore.
