Something Special...

A beautifully shot short film with great performances, killer sound track and a powerful twist. Watched several times with good sound and the ending gets my heart strings every time.

I'm thinking London Hood is a metaphor for Robin Hood... Hats off to the writer and also director. I see this short film and suggest my friend and family to see this awesome film.Some creation is really memorable this film is one of them.Evey moment and place is very adjustable for this film.

Moreover every character is perfectly showing in this film. I enjoy itself very much.

Nothing we haven't seen before

"London Hood" is a 19-minute movie from December last year and it was directed by Sean Cronin and written by Cengiz Dervis. The duo also appears as actors in this one here. Unfortunately, the script is very generic. A man who boxes at nights at events where other people bet invites a journalist to watch and interview him during his profession. There are some crime references, lots of boxing action and in the end of course a heartbreaking story about the boxer's wife and how it made him a better person. I cannot say there is something particularly memorable about these 20 minutes, especially because there was not a single wow moment and I am just glad they did not start a love story between the two protagonists in the end, although this is probably gonna happen nonetheless. Really baffled by this film's high rating here. Not recommended.

I recently had the pleasure of screening the short film London Hood. The story of a journalist researching a former fighter is a delightful yet powerful piece of cinema.

Writer and lead actor Cengiz Dervis does a wonderful job portraying the former fighter who may have left the sport due to underhanded gambling. He has written a tale that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire way through.

Director Sean Cronin masterfully pieces together a film that is short enough to keep your attention in this movie that runs a little over 20 minutes.

Definitely give London Hood a fighting chance.
