Storyline
Plot Summary |
Letterbox is about Imani, a second generation Muslim girl from Bradford, who lives for her music. When her mother finds her ticket's to Glastonbury Festival, she rips them up, saying the only way Imani would ever go to Glastonbury is in a Burka. So that's exactly what the determined girl does. In an act of rebellion against her mother and a conscious provoking of the culture she so badly wants to fit in to, she dons her mum's ill fitting niqab and hitch hikes south, forcing the cultural rubber of her young British Pakistani life to meet the road.
