Dr. Scott says her rapid test can detect the virus within a few hours or even minutes of exposure, which isn't possible. The only way a virus could be detected within just a few hours of exposure would be to run a large volume of the patient's blood through a mass spectrometer, which isn't really possible. Viral tests work by detecting the RNA structure of a virus in a blood test, but that is only possible once the virus has began to replicate inside the host and created enough copies to be found throughout the blood stream. The exact amount of time varies with different viruses, but Scott said the red flu has an incubation period of three to five days. Other viruses with a similar incubation period is influenza and COVID, the earliest they can be detected after exposure is two days. So Scott detecting the virus within minutes is not possible, and within hours is very unlikely.
Dr. Scott says that if whatever Danny is sick with is airborne or bloodborne everyone in the room has been exposed. That's true if its airborne, however if it is bloodborne only those people who have come into direct contact with his bodily fluids would be exposed, which would only be a few of the people in the room.
In previous episodes it was stated that they only have 80 CBR suits for a crew of 217, yet in this episode almost everyone is shown wearing a suit when the ship goes to Circle William status.
Edit: The ship had 80 CBR suits as part of their normal equipment when they were on their initial mission, before their first resupply stop. However the Nathan James was just at Guantanamo Bay, which includes Naval Station Gitmo, a huge 45 square mile base that resupplies ships and would have been stocked with CBR gear. Considering the nature of their mission it only makes sense that the ship acquired enough suits for the entire crew, and extra ones as well no doubt.

In episode 6, at 30:01, there is a spelling error on Dr. Scott's background paperwork. Paperwork says "ritish" instead of "British" under the section indicating US citizenship.
Full line reads, "Verification of US citizenship: ritish Citizen. US Permanent Resident. Birth Certificate. Social Security record." Further up the page it reads "Place of Birth London, England" which further explains this entry, but is not fully relevant in the spelling error, or its cause.

(at around 30 mins) When CDR Tom Chandler is checking Dr Scotts file "verification of US citizenship" states "ritish citizen" instead of British citizen.
