- In an early episode, there is a brief close-up of Kiyoko's breasts and butt (fully clothed), but isn't really anything serious at all and mostly played for comedic effect.
- Some mild innuendo intended for comedy.
- Being a show about teenage boys, revealing posters (girls in bikinis) can sometimes (it scarcely happens) in the background.
- A completely child friendly show. No sex or nudity.
- In season 2, a girl looks a another girl's big breasts, and they bounce a few times.
- One male character is seen shirtless and in his underwear, which are long shorts. A passing woman sees him and calls him a "pervert".
- Shirtless men are shown in locker room.
- In one episode most of the main characters are seen naked in the bath. No genitalia is shown.
- A character says that he likes the girl's school uniforms
- A female character occasionally hugs other characters' faces into her breasts. One character has no significant reaction to this, but another, her brother, does, and they have dialogue about it in the background of a scene (played for laughs).
- A male character almost falls face-first into a female character's breasts but he's caught. Another character is flustered by the size of the character's breast which is accompanied by some close up shots.
- Two female characters are seen in a sauna together, though only bare backs, shoulders, and the tops of their breasts are shown.

- Two characters have a fight, one is thrown to the ground twice but that's pretty much the worst that happens, there's no blood and the fight is mostly emotional for the viewers rather than gory.
- A character attempts to slap a younger boy, he is later headbutted by another character. He falls to the ground and blood is seen streaming from his nose.
- A boy gets a vollyball hit on his face trying to block. Not that bad but a bit bloody
- A character spits out a tooth at one point, it is seen in a little pool of blood in his hand.
Profanity

- In one episode, a character loses, and the other says something along the lines of "now you know our secret weapon, don't expect it to be easy" to which he responds, "is that so...? ya little prick"
- Hell, damn, and ass are used pretty frequently. Shit is said occasionally. This is in the dub.
- Season 2 dub has the F word and the B word.
- Language includes "Hell", "Damn", "Bastard", "Ass", "Piss", "Crap", "Bitch", "Shit" and "Fuck". "Prick" is said once.
- depending on which sub you watch, sh*t is often used, with other pg-13 profanity thrown in occasionally (Bitch/Hell/Damn)
- Season 1 - Sh*tty used once, D*mn used 5-10 times per episode, B*stard used in at least half of the episodes, pis***, pis*, idiot, crap, jerk and a few other other mild words used in most episodes. This is only in the sub though.

- Karasuno's coach references "the first sip of beer" as a metaphor for the excitement of facing Dateko for the first time ("Today's match against Dateko is like the first sip of beer. The deliciousness of that first sip is special").

- One character, Asahi Azumane, who is a third year student, (he would be a senior in America) appears frightening to other characters. This is played for laughs because he is in reality actually wimpy and timid.
