Decor is about "choices" we make in life. Can one major choice haunt us to the extent of wishing to imagine or live our alternate options of such choice? Decor is an incredible journey down that rabbit hole.

This unique black and white film is a psychological drama about an Egyptian production designer named Maha. The film takes an unnerving turn when she finds herself transported into a completely different persona-a married housewife. This original piece remarkably captures the loneliness faced by some sufferers of mental illness, as well as the challenges faced by their loved ones. Filmmaker Ahmad Abdalla (Rags and Tatters, LFF 2013) fashions a beautiful tribute to the golden era of 1940s and 1950s Egyptian cinema. Maha has always been passionate about cinema, and as a set designer she's become an expert at creating imaginary worlds. Under immense pressure at work, she sights another life on the horizon and begins slipping between realities-one resembling the film set she's designed and the other her supposed real life.
