Following a group of Gypsy music whose members are originally from a small town with a high rate of enemployment, on the east of France, at the German border. They live in trailers, nevertheless, they play in the local bars their enthousiastic music. The director has himself a nice bunch of characters, unfortunately, there seems to have been no plans for making this documentary, and the editing is terribe, most of the titles, witch are the most powerful thing of the film are cut and only hear truncated. The whole thing seems to be going nowhere. At some point, the band is invited to play in the United States in a famous music hall. This is really the best part of the film, with the meeting of other musicians. And sundenly all that stops, and we're back in France. If you like Gypsy Jazz music, the music captured in the surviving fragments remains very powerful.
