Warning: Spoilers
This episode doesn't contain a ground breaking character or storyline, it is simply an episode setting up future drama as it resolves old plots.

Topic 1: Welcome Back Callie

In what hopefully isn't the last time we see the girls of Girls United, goodbyes are given and Callie finds herself back in the Foster's home, with open arms from everyone, except Jude. Be it because he fears she may mess up again, or because she was slowly becoming an outsider after being his rock, he starts off the episode distant from her. However, one secret which ties them together seems to be all that was needed to strengthen their sibling bond. The secret being Jude's real birthday. You see, he was born at home and the hospital messed up the date, so he has a false birthday and Callie decided to leave clues around to lead up to his birthday gift which was Hansel and Gretel. The meaning behind the gift was that their mom used to read it to them.

Now, while things were rather honkey-dory with Jude, elsewhere Callie had some issues integrating back into things. For one, Brandon decides to leave the house because seemingly being around Callie is too much of a trigger for him to deal with. But, the real issue comes from her going to a cast party, with Marianna. At said party is Talia who seemingly isn't doing much better than when we last saw her. She is still drinking, and now with Brandon confessing him and Callie did have something, and Brandon cheated on her, she decides to get loud and embarrass Callie by calling her a boyfriend stealing slut.

So, while Callie definitely may have things better inside the Foster's home, outside of that she seemingly is going to have quite a tough time.

Topic 2: When the Truth Comes Out - Marianna

Starting off with Marianna, after being suspended a week she's back in school and is already talking simple and saying how interesting it might be to be considered infamous. But, all that happens is her feeling a bit insecure, and jealous, when she sees Kelsey has fully moved in on Chase. But, with the cast party, she thinks she has found a way to intercept Chase. Unfortunately though, this comes at the expense of Zach, the character who I thought had a crush on Chase too, but apparently instead has one on Marianna. Either way, Zach is the one who really invites her to the party and, upon arrival, she ditches him and Callie to chat up Chase.

However, despite her seemingly working her mojo on Chase, Kelsey flies in to try to embarrass Marianna, and all it does is make for an awkward situation. One in which Kelsey talks down to Marianna before going for Chase. But, the interesting part of this whole Chase thing strangely comes when Talia gives Marianna advice on how to get her man. What is said advice? Put your panties in his pocket and meet him in a room. Which, because Marianna is apparently naïve as hell, made her think she was just going to get Chase interested and perhaps all they would just make out. That wasn't what Chase had in mind though. Seemingly, with her out of her draws, he thought he minas well slip out of his too and they could get nasty, but Marianna isn't ready for that, and with this, Chase shows his true colors. But he ain't the only one.

With Mike's trial on the way, the DA is ready to build a case and Stef ends up with a surprise summons. And, rather than lie like she previously did, she decides to tell the truth. Thankfully though, Anna recants her testimony making it so the DA doesn't have a case and has to drop charges. Leading to the question: why did Anna do such a thing? Well, probably because of the demon child Brandon.

Topic 3: A Long Road to Hell - Brandon

As Brandon deals with not being able to have Callie like he wants, rather than use his music as an outlet, he prefers to be destructive. At first though, he seemed like he may be taking an understandable approach. He leaves the house and lives with his dad, who has a sober buddy, who does a night flight every now and then; and even though he skips class, he decides to just look at the ocean and chill. But, then comes some rather destructive behavior. First he uses the money his dad gives him to give to Callie, then decides, with Callie not needing said money, to bribe Anna like a mobster. With $1000 in hand, he talks to Anna, speaking on how her testifying would affect her relationship with her kids, perhaps the only thing motivating her in her life, and with this devilish low blow, he coerces Anna to take the money. It doesn't end there though, for with everyone talking about Callie running away with Wyatt, his jealousy leads him to going to the party Marianna is at, drinking, and now getting ready to sell IDs through Lena's office to recoup that $1000. This is on top of him confessing his cheating on Talia, who seems like she is digging herself a hole as well.

It makes you wonder, how did Brandon end up this way? Callie and him barely knew each other, and yet he threw away a relationship, his talent, and now is doing illegal things just to keep his life together. I mean, is he supposed to represent what the folks at Girls United talked about in terms of not recognizing how good you have it and making wrong decisions? Perhaps that conversation Callie had would have been better for Brandon huh?
