- Lyla asks Diggle to go on a mission alongside the Suicide Squad, a team assembled by Amanda Waller to undertake high-risk missions, even though the team includes Diggle's nemesis, Deadshot, and Oliver's enemy, Bronze Tiger.
- We open with Queen having a nightmare related to Shado.
Queen goes to see Alexi, asking him to look into the whereabouts of Slade. Alexi wants him to do a favor in return, but Queen will have none of it. He knocks out several of his men.
Queen and Sara talk about Slade's return. He vows to kill Slade and "make sure he stays dead this time," as soon as he can find him.
With the increased danger, Digs is sitting outside Felicity's house. She assures him that if Slade wants to kill her he'll have no trouble. Digs gets a text to meet at a hotel.
At the hotel Digs finds Lyla wearing a negligee and offering champagne. She's just back from a mission and wants him to stay. Digs is torn.
We flash back to Afghanistan and Digs working with Lyla. Lyla consideration for the local women they're helping helps land a high-value target; Golan Kadir
Digs and Lyla walk out of the suite and walk into Amanda, who wants them both to come with her. At ARGUS HQ Amanda tells them a batch of a highly potent nerve agent is about to hit the open market. She wants Digs and Lyla to help them. Kadir, who has ties to WMDs, is involved. Apparently he knows Digs as a man who tried to help him. The plan is for Digs to go to a fundraiser and run into Gadir, then install a team known as Taskforce X (the Suicide Squad). Digs sees that the taskforce is a group of prisoners, including Deadshot and Bronze Tiger
Felicity is struggling to get a lead for Slade. But at Arrow's next mission Slade makes it known that he is watching.
We again flash to Afghanistan. While Digs and Kadir talk they are fired upon.
With the Suicide Squad in place, Digs intentionally runs into Kadir. Tiger poses as Digs' security and Digs tells him he's in a new line of work where he makes enemies. Deadshot intentionally shoots at Digs, further selling the story for Kardir. A member of the squad attempts to run and we see that Amanda is able to remotely kill him via an explosive in their heads. Afterwards Digs is upset by what he witnessed. He can't believe Lyla is involved in something like this. We see that Kadir has invited Digs to a benefit.
Alexi gives Queen an envelope with Slade's bank account number. He tells him they are now through.
Sara tells Queen she thinks Slade is getting to him. Queen thinks Slade is going to use her to hurt him, or hurt him. He tells her to stay away from him.
Digs talks to Deadshot about his daughter. Deadshot cares about her, but thinks it's best if he's not in her life.
Digs and Lyla arrive at Kadir's home. Deadshot is able to sneak into the gathering using Digs' fingerprint.
Back in Afghanistan Digs takes out a gunman who was about to kill Kadir. He is horrified to see the person he shot was only a kid.
Digs and Lyla dance while Deadshot searches for the nerve agent. The two discuss the ethics of what they do.
Laurel talks to Queen about his relationship with Sara. She tells him that keeping Sara at arm's length isn't protecting her at all.
Felicity has found an address connected to the bank account. Queen is going to go by himself, despite Felicity's warnings.
Deadshot finds a hidden passage.
At the address Arrow finds Alexi with an arrow through his eye. Video of Shado plays on the wall.
Queen finally open up with Sara, saying he thinks Slade is "too far ahead." Sara assures him they'll fight this together and that she won't be easy to kill.
Deadshot finds that there is an enormous amount of nerve agent in play. Amanda is able to see the package through Deadshot eyepiece. Amanda orders a drone strike and tells Digs and Lyla to evacuate. She's sacrificing Deadshot, as well as everybody else at the party. Lyla suggests they trigger a house alarm, instead Digs proposes a toast and exposes Kadir for what he is. This causes the partygoers to flee. Digs goes to help Deadshot, while Tiger takes out Kadir when he puts a knife to Lyla's neck. Digs wants Deadshot to leave, but his goal is die with honor. Digs mentions his daughter's name and the two men flee the scene.
In the van they realize the drone is following them, having been programmed to target Deadshot's implant. Lyla's cuts it out of his head just in time to save them.
Amanda is furious with Digs because the drone hit the wrong spot, generating bad publicity. He is dismissed. We learn that the implants will now be placed in the spinal vertebrae. Digs and Lyla part ways. He thinks Deadshot's character is blurring the lines between good and bad. He tells her can't ever lose her again. They kiss.
Back in Afghanistan we see that the incident with Kadir was what brought Digs and Lyla together.
Queen promises Sara to stop pushing her away. Later he thanks Laurel for helping him. Queen passes on dinner, saying "I need to see an old friend."
Queen pays Amanda a visit as the Arrow. He tells her that Slade is alive and he wants her help to find him. She says they've been tracking a mercenary named Deathstroke.
