As ER is obliged to report incidents involving in-living seniors to the police, who assumes abuse, although David and Crawford consistently cause their own peril against wiser filial advice, officer Silverton still applies preventive 'protective' placement. Initially the boys ignore female nagging suggesting false guilt and enjoy a reprieve from their bothersome progenitors, but Internet horror reports make them rush to the rescue. Their fathers turn a return down, feeling spoiled by welcoming, wealthy, permissive couple Ben and Joan, but reconsider after meeting their also in-living, man-eating mothers.
