It is a three-part documentary series that tells the story of Wojciech Zabinski, known as "Wojtek in Zanzibar" on social media. During the pandemic, he launched an exclusive hotel network called Pili Pili on the island, offering an escape from strict quarantine measures. Many Poles, including notable public figures, booked their paradise vacation without realizing that Wojtek had two arrest warrants issued to his name and was charged with economic fraud back in Poland. Now, his new business faced financial trouble, employee layoffs and a long list of angry clients. Over 250 individuals, including tourists, employees, and investors, were scammed out of 7 million Polish zloty. This documentary series gives a voice to the victims who took a shot at life in paradise just to lose it all, revealing how this "visionary from nowhere" charmed so many and manipulated them into a desperate situation.
