"Evangélicos" is a 6-episode documentary series that offers a window into the lives of ordinary people who follow neo Pentecostal religions in Brazil. Each episode follows the routine of a religious person or couple around the country.

How can we understand and think about Brazil today (and in the future) without addressing the topic of evangelical Christianity? How can we ignore this true mass phenomenon? If the statistics are right, evangelicals - who today make up a third of the country's adult population - will outnumber Catholics in the next decade. The topic opens up several questions and reveals the lack of knowledge on the part of a large portion of our society. What do we really know about this enormous phenomenon? Why so many converts? What do believers find in the Pentecostal communities that make them loyal? Who are the evangelicals? And why are they evangelicals? Are there "the" evangelicals or is this word an umbrella for different manifestations of faith and forms of conversion? The "Evangélicos" series meets believers and pastors, delving into the daily lives of religious communities. We enter the daily lives of these practitioners - in their homes, worship, celebrations, work, intimacy and leisure - in search of answers to these and hundreds of other questions. The objective of the series - far from stereotypes and stigmatization - is to build a bridge that helps us understand and translate contemporary Brazilian society far from prejudice and fragmentation.—Alberto Renault

How does Evangelical Christianity interact in their lives? What has changed? How were those changes? What life looked like before? Did they come to the Church, or did the Church came to them? How? What achievements have you made since they became evangelical? Do you attribute improvements in their life to the Church? How did it help them? The series seeks answers to these and hundreds of other questions. Far from stereotypes and stigmatization, and always starting from individuals, the series aims to build a unique and historical document, a bridge that helps us understand and translate contemporary Brazilian society, far from prejudices and fragmentation. The series encounter emblematic characters capable of answering these questions through practical and tangible examples. The series 'Evangélicos" aims to verify and not comment, portray and observe, without judging and opining. The series show the perspective of the believer rather than the institutions. It explores the daily insertion of evangelical values and how they act in the lives of the interviewee-characters.
