John Benjamin Hickey's Mustang has Virginia antique car plates. The car would have been only 14 years old at the time. In Virginia a car must be at least 25 to get antique tags.
Though set around 1979, the makeup, hair and grooming look more like 2000-ish. This is a common flaw in movie productions.
