Close Harmony
The Jubalaires sing the title song in close harmony in this soundie.
Soundies were short films, usually about three minutes in length, and usually performances of songs. They were intended to be played on a machine called a Mills Panaram, a video jukebox that could be found in bars, diners, night clubs, and similar venues. Between 1940 and 1946, Mills and a few competitors produced more than two thousand of these shorts, which featured performers, some of whom became much better known, like Ricardo Montalban and Dorothy Dandridge.
As I noted in the title, this is a close harmony group with a guitar accompanist.
