Playing with Dolls: The Making of Curse of Chucky (2013)
*** (out of 4)
Brad Dourif, Danielle Bisutti, Brennan Elliott, Don Mancini, A. Martinez, Rick Skene, Jennifer Tilly and Alex Vincent are just a few of the people who take part in this sixteen minute promotional piece about CURSE OF CHUCKY. The filmmakers start off talking about how they wanted to get back to the days when Chucky was scary and take away all the jokes. From here we get to hear about the production as the actors talk about how great the shoot was and how much fun everything was.
Obviously this is your standard promotional piece where everyone talks about how great everyone is but this one here manages to be entertaining for a number of reasons. The biggest is the fact that we're given a lot of material about the shooting of the film and there's quite a bit of footage of the death scenes being set up and performed. You'll certainly want to watch the movie before this as there are plenty of spoilers here but the behind-the-scene footage is great and there's some wonderful interviews as well. Fans of the film will certainly be entertained by this.
