Telly & Me (2011)
*** (out of 4)
This is a very entertaining interview with composer John Cacavas, which works as not only an overview of his career but also a nice tribute to Telly Savalas. Cacavas talks about how he got into the business thanks to Savalas and then goes into details about several other projects that they worked on together including Kojac and HORROR EXPRESS. The eight-minute interview also has the composer talking about some of the other television movies he worked on as well as features like THE SATANIC RITES OF Dracula. If you're a fan of these films then you'll certainly enjoy this featurette because the stories about Savalas are priceless and it's nice to get to hear from Cacavas since he has worked on some very impressive things. One wishes the interview was a tad bit longer and they got into more of his career but this piece is certainly very entertaining.
