Summaries

  • The next agent on the Soviet list, Tom Mallory, is a brutal man currently in prison for assault. Without his freedom, he can't perform his task and bring MI5 one step closer to thwarting Operation Glass - leaving Daddy with a terrible choice. Joe, haunted by events in his past, continues to struggle with his lover's killer's role in the plot.
  • Arkady supplies two more names - Tom Mallory, a double agent in prison for assault, and Valerie Parkwood, the prime minister's secretary. Daddy has Mallory released in the hopes that he will contact Valerie, which he does, and Joe and Alan stake out their meeting. Mallory threatens Valerie for secret information, which she gives him before Joe rescues her but Mallory escapes and Sarah Montag works out that Operation Glass is a pre-emptive nuclear strike on Britain. Joe and Jim locate Mallory, learning that his contact was Odin. Against Sarah's advice Joe wants Mallory to continue pretending to work for the Russians but his response leads Joe to shooting him. Elsewhere Bobby makes a nervous pass at Wendy, which is rejected.—don @ minifie-1
