Mary's mother Anne is blonde, or at least fair-haired. This is extremely unlikely in Israel at that time.
At about 31 min, in the construction scene, the workers are laboriously raising a timber by means of winches. There is a man standing, pointlessly, on the timber. It is not that big, so it could have been raised much more easily, possibly by one man and a single rope, if there hadn't been someone standing on it.
