Although this is set in a Canadian town in Alberta and the prime character is a Royal North West Mounted Police constable, never will you see the Union Jack flown anywhere. The Union Jack was the Canadian official national flag at the time. Nor will you hear the word, "Canadian".
Stagecoaches had effectively disappeared from both America and Canada by the 1880s, with the last regular stagecoach service (to only the most remote areas) ending in 1900. By 1910, every town had some sort of rail access, and there were no weekly stagecoach runs as seen in the opening of the pilot.
