TV Gold - I have never been more invested in a reality show

Reality shows are old hat now. This is something new. Pick an underdog and help him win - except he is actually the greatest person in the show.

We are so used to the popular people being polished and perfect, great make-up skills, expensive clothes and loud personalities, but this show puts a new spin on this and shows that you can actually be popular because of your true self rather than the mask you show the world

Who cares that the prize fund is small, let's look at ourselves and like what we see.

I'm watching this series with my teenage daughter and we absolutely cannot wait until the next episode.

I thought that I'd give it a chance 🤣

Honestly ............ the decision to watch this show was driven by a combination of low expectations and a sad, morbid curiosity, so I tuned in on catch-up ready to bail-out after episode one or two ....... however how wrong could I have been !!! This has been a great twist to the normal reality drivel ......... at last a reality show that I can tell people that they have to watch as opposed to secretly keeping my sordid and shallow TV viewing taste to myself (when is the next series of Love 💕 Island ....?). I just love the slow, cruise-ship like about-face of peoples first opinions as they develop a relationship with someone that they would normally avoid like a huge steaming pile of Great Dane Doo-Doo on a cold winter's pavement. I have a theory about Josh but let's leave that one to avoid any potential spoilers, although I haven't finished the show yet.

If you're thinking about watching this then don't delay, cast off your doubts like a woolly duvet cover on a hot summers night and get stuck in ......

Warning: Spoilers
It's fake reality TV, Big Brother for the 2020's. C4 misleading the wannabe reality influencers into a few quid. It costs more to make a decent documentary than they win.

With a panel including Pattison, from Geordie Shore - a classic, it is outdated now. The "contestants" do not have the confinement, hear the roar of the crowd. Grimshaw betrays his BBC roots, becoming another generic C4 Googleboxer, who the other two are? No clue? Pete Wicks? Saving the UK in COVID! Reduced to this

Maybe it's a good idea? We have CCTV intimate moments, some of the contestants catch on - because that's what they are? Contestants in a game show, playing for 15Mb of fame.

They will all be forgotten soon, a few followers, a bit of media coverage maybe. We remember the host, not the participants. #BeNice.
