- Showdown on the bridge as the Killer reveals his endgame.
- "The Bridge" - "Take the Ride, Pay the Toll" - Sept. 18, 2013
Ray drags Tim's body through the tunnel and finds more dead bodies on the other side. And then a trail of blood, follows it and shoots a guy. He gets an idea. He drags Tim's body into the massacre and puts his gun in Tim's hand and shoots the guy again to make it look like they shot each other. He grabs a pack of drugs off the table for good measure.
David Tate drives Marco to the bridge. He starts telling Marco about his son. Marco apologizes. David continues talking about his son being in agony, alive for 10 minutes after the crash probably wondering where his dad was. Tate stops on the bridge where the accident was. He gets out and reveals he has a bomb attached to his body. Marco warns the people in cars behind them to get back. Marco tells him that blowing up the bridge won't solve anything. David asks if he still wants to save is son. Marco says he does. David tells him to open the trunk of the car. Daniel Frye is in there, bound and gagged. Police start to arrive on the perimeter.
At the precinct Sonya works on trying to find Gus and Sonya admits to Hank that Marco went to meet Gus. She apologizes for lying. And then is distracted by the faucet and the way the water is flowing. She remembers looking at pipes in Tate's uncle's house and how the flow was similar. She says they have to go back. Tim informs them of Frye, Marco, and Tate on the bridge. Mendez goes with Hank to the bridge while Tim and Sonya go to Tate's uncle's house.
We cut to Gus in the tank where the water is rising.
Marco tries to get Tate to let Frye go since it's between them but Tate points out that Daniel is part of it since all he had to do was tell the truth. Hank and Mendez arrive on the bridge and he barks at her to stay out of the way. He is advised they have snipers with a shot.
Tate tells them when the bomb goes off it will kill himself, Marco, and Frye and take out most of the center of the bridge. Tate activates the bomb, if he takes his thumb off the switch it will detonate so they can no longer shoot him. Hank notes that he is in control. Tate tells Marco to point his gun at Frye. He switches to Tate and begs to know where Gus is. Tate simply says "consequences Marco."
Sonya arrives at the uncle's house.
Tate says if Marco kills Frye he'll tell him where Gus is. Marco says he won't do it. Tate says Gus is dying. Marco points the gun back at Frye and apologizes. Tate tells Frye to tell Marco what he did. He does. Marco still refuses to kill Frye.
Sonya and Tim search. Gus is running out of time.
Tate reiterates his order to kill Frye. Marco tries but can't do it and says he's not like Tate and throws the gun down. Tate picks it up and says Marco isn't saving anyone and he shoots Frye whose body goes over the bridge to Mendez, Hank, and Marco's horror.
Tim and Sonya go into the uncle's garage and find a fresh plaster wall and begin knocking it down.
Marco begs to know where Gus is. Tate says Marco will be like him soon enough because the snipers will shoot him and he will never know where Gus is.
Tim and Sonya find the tank and open the top and Sonya screams "Gus!" Sonya jumps in a car and takes off.
On the bridge Tate tells Marco to pick up the gun. He tells Marco that his appetites ruin families since Alma told him what Marco did. He tells him that Gus is in a cold dark place. Marco, enraged, points the gun at Tate. Tate describes how his son drowned in his own blood. He asks if he knows what it's like to lose everything, a wife and son. Marco says he apologized and again asks where Gus is.
Sonya arrives and runs on the bridge towards Marco and Tate. Tate tells him he's dead and Sonya tells Marco not to shoot. She runs up and says she found Gus. Marco asks if she found him alive. She says yes. Tate says she's lying. Sonya begs him not to kill him. Marco again asks if Gus is alive. She says yes. He asks for the truth. She wavers, Marco turns to shoot him so Sonya shoots Marco in the leg and he goes down. She then shoots Tate in the leg before he can get back to detonate the vest but not before he smiles an evil smile at Marco who cries and screams into Sonya's awkward embrace.
We cut to Tim over Gus's body being zipped into a body bag.
The police run onto the bridge to detain Tate. He walks away cuffed but triumphant.
Marco writhes in anguish. Sonya cries. Hank touches her head.
Back at the precinct house Sonya sits shell-shocked. Hank tries to convince her to go to the hospital to see Marco. Hank notes that she could've gotten herself killed on the bridge. She says she did what she thought was best and asks what he would've done. He says he doesn't know. She says Marco would've killed Tate. Hank agrees and says she stopped that. He tells her to go see Marco and be a friend.
She goes, bringing him some clothes for when he gets out. She talks to him and he tells her to leave. She says she tried her best to save Gus but he was already dead and she told him what he wanted to hear and asks what she was supposed to do. Marco asks her to leave him alone. She says she won't and she's only doing what friends do like he taught her. He says she stopped him from shooting Tate. She says he is not that person. He says he is that person and they are not friends, they were partners and now that's over and that he wants to be alone. He yells at her to leave. He cries.
Mendez goes to the hospital to see Frye. The doctor says he has massive internal injuries and they don't know if he will make it. She goes into the room and he is banged up, comatose, and on a ventilator. She takes his hand.
Marco limps to the morgue. He asks the coroner to see his son. He looks at Gus's body on the table. He touches his head. He hugs his face. He places his hand on Gus's chest and on his own. He says his silent goodbye and leaves. He limps away from the hospital.
