Synopsis

  • Annie and Sana race through the streets on a motorcycle until Annie pulls over at a swank hotel and makes a beeline for the bar, where she charges two shots of Patron to "Andrew Goodman's" room. She has his phone, Henry's been texting him nonstop.

She also lifted Goodman's ID and she's counting on that and the fact he was good at his job to mean he'll stay a John Doe for a little while.

She checks the room number on her bar tab and heads up to begin ransacking for answers. She finds the wall safe, telling Sana to turn the TV on loud. Annie bashes into the wall next to the safe with a fire extinguisher and shorts it out to open it. She takes out a flash drive and hard drive and they leave the hotel.

Sana reviews the story she's going to tell David: She followed Annie to calm her down when she left the meeting, worried she'd blown it. They got a few drinks but they'll both be at work tomorrow.

Sana thinks Annie has no idea how to handle Henry. "He's better at this than you," Sana says.

Annie sees yet another text from Henry to Goodman requesting the status.

Annie goes to see her landlord, Reese. She tells him her "ex-boyfriend" got rough with her and she had to defend herself and he's dead. (He's sympathetic because his step-dad beat his mother.) She asks him to say he hasn't seen her for a few days and he agrees.

Auggie's back-from-the-dead wife Helen drops in on him. She says the Campbells asked for her help with Arthur's defense. He doesn't believe her and is still stung by watching her "die" seven years ago and learning recently that it was all a lie. She tells him she never stopped being his wife and still wears the necklace he gave her. He suggests it might be time to stop. "I'll let you know what I find out about Henry," she says.

The next day, Annie tells Sana she found files on Goodman's flashdrive that were designed to set up David, to make him look like he knew about the attack in Copenhagen. The hard drive is too encrypted. She's uploading files to David's computer as she talks to Sana on the phone and tells her she's working on a plan. She texts Henry: "It's a go."

When David talks to Annie at work, he has been convinced by Sana that the meeting falling apart was Goodman's fault, not Annie's.

At Langley, Auggie brings Barber the new hard drive he's been requesting, then casually mentions that he heard Braithwaite opened a blue file on Henry. The gossip spreads quickly.

In the hallway, Auggie checks in with Calder, saying they'll know their whisper campaign is working when Henry comes to talk to Calder instead of Braithwaite. Joan sees the two supposed enemies talking.

At David's office, Interpol agents come for him. When he's gone, Sana yells at Annie for not preventing it and Annie explains she had to upload the files herself because that's what Henry was expecting Goodman to do -- and if it wasn't done, Henry would know something was up with Goodman. Annie has a plan to follow how Henry moves his money around. Sana has very little faith in Annie's skills.

Sana isn't pleased. Annie tells Sana that the person who set the bomb in Jai's car was a former operative that Henry had turned his back on. Henry has been projecting his guilt on Arthur and destroying lives.

    Sana's on board.

At a fancy cigar shop in DC, Henry ambushes Eric Braithwaite. He asks about the blue file. Eric insists he didn't open one on Henry, but Henry doesn't believe him.

With Annie's coaching, Sana calls Henry and tells him she's been thinking about what he said in Frankfurt and that David is in trouble. He agrees to hop on the next flight out to Geneva.

Joan drops in on Auggie to ask why he was talking to Calder. Auggie says he can't talk about it. Joan confirms that she and Arthur hired Helen to look into Henry and Helen is following him to Geneva now. Joan reminds Auggie that they're the only two left. Auggie struggles with keeping her in the dark about Annie.

In Geneva, Annie tells Sana to tell Henry everything he wants to hear. Annie plans to throw a wrench in Henry's world during their meeting. Sana is feeling skittish and tells Annie she's not a good handler. Annie doesn't have the luxury of time to make her feel comfortable.

Annie listens to Henry and Sana over the phone as she goes to a hotel. Henry tells Sana he can keep her safe. He asks about new visitors to the office. Annie plants something in the hotel room as Henry tells Sana his new company will do the CIA one better.

Henry gets a text from Goodman insisting he return to his hotel room. Henry is annoyed, but goes. When he's there, Annie texts as Goodman demanding $3 million or he'll tell Sana everything.

Henry leaves an angry message, telling Goodman he'd hate for something to happen to Violet. Annie doesn't know who that is.

Henry finds the map of Copenhagen that Annie planted and is angry. He texts that he needs 6 hours, Annie gives him 3.

Annie explains that once Henry transfers the money, they can locate the origin electronically. If they follow the money, they can prove Henry was behind the Copenhagen attack. Sana is dubious.

Henry calls Nelson to have him wire the money.

Auggie and Calder meet outside the building. Henry has asked to meet with Calder in two days, without Braithwaite, just like they were hoping. Auggie tells Calder that Henry is in Geneva now, but he doesn't want to reach out to Annie -- she has to get through the mission on her own.

Nelson calls Henry, telling him he has the money to transfer. A Swiss man calls Henry. They meet and the man tells Henry that Goodman is dead and has been for at least a day - he was found in a woman's apartment.

    The money transfer deadline passes.

Annie gets a call from Reese saying they need to talk right away. Annie goes to his club but gets a bad feeling. He mouths "run" to her before she gets too close. The police who had been staking out the club follow her, but she knocks one over and gets away.

She gets a text from Henry to Goodman's phone. "Whoever you are, I'm going to find you." With a picture of Goodman's dead body.

At Langley, Auggie asks Joan what Helen has found in Geneva. She hasn't heard from her. Joan has heard the rumor about Brathwaite and Henry being on the outs and commends Auggie for starting it.

Back in Geneva, Annie returns to Sana in the empty office where they've been meeting. Sana continues to complain that Henry was a better handler than she is. Annie tells her she's been compromised and has to leave Geneva. She doesn't get far, because they hear a noise and Annie hides.

Henry walks in. Sana keeps him from finding Annie and asks him if he's gotten anywhere with finding out what's going on with David.

Henry suggests that David might be guilty.

Then Henry's demeanor changes and he accuses her of betraying him and mentions the name Jessica Matthews. He tells her the authorities are looking for an Indian woman in the death of Andrew Goodman.

He promises her he'll ensure that David never gets out of the mess with Interpol.

When he brings up their son, Sana calls him a monster.

"Fine, I'm going to find Jessica Matthews. And kill her," Henry says.

When Henry leaves, Annie tries to reassure Sana, but Sana can see their only plan has fallen apart. Sana completely gives up on Annie, saying she's a monster like Henry.

Annie leaves, angry at everything going wrong.

Outside the building, Annie put on her helmet and rides away - as Helen watches her from the shadows.
