Plot Summary

Set in a future perhaps closer than we hope to imagine, SUGAR, tells the story of a lone girl, orphaned as a child, struggling to survive in a society wrought with violence where people employ a kill first ask questions later mentality. Haunted by nightmarish visions of finding her parents dead at a young age, Sugar (Kalia Prescott) awakens to find herself hungry and desperate for nourishment. Her quest for food and water leads her to a new discovery that shows perhaps not everyone is as they seem and explores just how far a simple idea planted in the mind of a child can linger and grow.
