The tale of two brothers who are doctors who's relationship goes into a sharp downward spiral when they clash over the plans for a hospital where they both work. It is well acted and directed but the down side is the script with too many incidents and events being shoehorned in to fit the narrative but then quickly forgotten. With a little less sensationalism it would have made for a far more entertaining series.

Accent kinda throws me off
lmerana24 November 2019
I like Seo Ji subs acting. I'm just kinda annoyed when han jimin talks with an accent because it somehow affects my judgement on her acting. Even if it is serious or she is crying, I couldn't take it seriously because of how it sounded. It is kinda heavy drama.
Very good Korean drama

Cain and Abel is a K drama inspired by the Biblical story of Cain and Abel,as the name says. Sets and costumes do look very good and nice .The biggest relationship is between Choi In Lee and Seon Woo Lee ,two brothers. Their chemistry is powerful and you can feel emotioms in every scene that the brothers share together. Especially the character of Choi In Lee. He steals every scene that he is in. The women playing their love interests also do a very good and credible job. The most nasty character is the mother of the brothers, who later turns out to have her reasons to hate her younger son. Overall, very powerful with a very good message.9/10.
The first love triangle

I was very fascinated by this series. I was really surprised that South Korea made such a series!
Two brothers who, in addition to other conflicts, were fighting to get their favorite girl.
As in the original story, there are two brothers who grow up with a girl and as they grow up, their love for that girl grows. But this girl loves Abel more than Cain and uses every opportunity to be with him. Aklima rejects Kabul's love and hates Cain more than Abel.
Li Cho In ... Abel Lee Sun Woo... Cain Kim Se Yoon .... aclima
However, changes were made to the series. For example, neither Abel was that good nor Cain that bad. I think they were equally good and bad, and Abel being good and Cain being bad is just a myth.
If Li Chu was a very good person, he would never forget his medical oath and the operation would be successful. He only thought about revenge, not even thinking about Se Yoon who might be upset.

Dated and overwrought
phd_travel13 November 2020
A good example of an overwrought drama that doesn't stand the test of time. Amnesia is such a cliche in K dramas first there is amnesia then pretend amnesia. The evil characters are one dimensional and there are many unnecessary painful scenes of angst. The fight over the medical centers is boring. There is some excitement in China with the running around. There isn't really such a reason for so much hate. Shin Hyun Joon is just too unattractive to be the antagonist. So Ji Sub looks goofy here. Han Ji Min is more animated than usual. Skip this one. It's a waste of Netflix space.
