A guy decides to sell weed after losing his job, but things soon go out of hand as demand of business and paranoia starts taking over.

A recent college graduate (Brener) decides to sell marijuana on the streets of Manhattan after losing his job at a consulting firm. He soon meets the girl of his dreams (Daddario). With an unsupportive girlfriend, an increase of clienteles, and the growing threats of being caught or killed, he soon realizes he is in way over his head.—PallasBrenna

Recently graduated from University, David, a timid 22-year-old aspiring novelist who works for a consultant in Midtown Manhattan, is trapped in a tedious job. Living only for the weekend, riding his bike and taking hallucinogens with his friends, unexpectedly, David meets with Kate at a party and his life changes. From a single man, David now hangs out with the most beautiful girl in the world who is really fond of him, likes spending time together, and on top of that, is willing to move in with him to redecorate not only his flat but his life as well. However, David's bubble will burst when all of a sudden, he will lose his job and just before his life hits rock bottom, he will decide to sell weed over the internet. With no clue about dealing, yet, inconspicuous and determined to succeed, David, before long, he will see his little business flourish, nevertheless, at the cost of losing his friends. Recently graduated from University, David (Josh Brener), is a timid 22-year-old aspiring novelist who works for a consultant in Midtown Manhattan and is trapped in a tedious job. David continued with the job as there was a lot of pressure on him from his mother (Tovah Feldshuh) and father (Joe Grifasi)

Unexpectedly, David meets with Kate (Alexandra Daddario) at a party and his life changes. Meeting girls was not easy for the socially awkward David. David changes the playlist at the party which is when he is approached by Kate. David says that he writes a music blog. Kate invites David for a dance and forces him to the dance floor, even though David made it amply clear that he is not a good dancer.

Later that night, Kate starts to make out with David at his apartment but then stops and says that she has a boyfriend. Kate agrees to be friends with David and spends the night at his place. Gradually, David invites Kate to spend time with him as they go cycling, have long talks and discuss music.

Kate breaks up with her boyfriend Simon and gets an internship at a law firm. She didn't have a place to stay after the breakup and David offers that she can move in with him.

From a single man, David now hangs out with the most beautiful girl in the world who is really fond of him, likes spending time together, and on top of that, is willing to move in with him to redecorate not only his flat but his life as well.

However, David's bubble bursts when all of a sudden, he loses his job. Kate also informs David that her internship is unpaid.

Just before his life hits rock bottom, he decides to sell weed over the internet. He withdraws $1500, which is basically all of his savings, from his bank account to start the business. David tells Kate that he will make enough money to live on, and the experience will also give him material to write his book. His friend Eliza (Kitty) hooks him up with a couple of bulk dealers Ace (Michael Rivera) who sell David 2 ounces and advises him to keep it a secret to stay alive. The dealers sell it to David for $370 per ounce and strain is called Green Kush.

David tries to understand if specific strain goes in and out of season and when they might cost less. The dealers tell David to keep his mouth shut and not tell his life's story to every he meets in the business. He tells David not to talk about his personal life or say anything more than is absolutely necessary for the transaction to be completed. David then goes out to buy a scale and lot of small baggies to sell his supply. David then texts 17 of his friends about his new business asking them to consider him for their weed purchases. David doesn't get any responses. Kate also warns him that if he gets caught selling, nobody will ever pay him more than minimum wage for the rest of his life.

Kate shows David how she is trying to sell a hideous couch in his living room, on the internet. David gets his idea and decides to sell the weed over the internet.

With no clue about dealing, yet, inconspicuous and determined to succeed, David, before long, sees his little business flourish, nevertheless, at the cost of losing his friends. Most of the people who order from David are ones who have recently moved into town and do not know anyone well enough to have a regular offline supplier. Due to his delivery schedule, he often returns to his room in the middle of the night and leaves early in the morning.

Gradually, David starts supplying to the rich people in town. One of them notices David's old and heavy bike and offers him money to buy a new bicycle. The person says that he is investing in David's operation, and one day when he is a big shot, David might throw a few free bags his way.

Kate starts feeling neglected because Davis is always out and making deliveries to his customers. His friends throw him a surprise birthday party, but David falls asleep while cutting his own cake, as he is exhausted.

One night Kate confronts David about his lifestyle and the choices he is making as he is selling weed in THE most public way possible (over the internet). David convinces Kate to give him another chance, but the night they were to have dinner, David gets wasted with a customer and has sex with prostitutes that the customer had ordered.

Kate leaves David. To make it worse, Ace gets arrested just a minute after he sells weed to David and Ace thinks that David turned him in. Ace beats up David upon release and robs him. David decides to give up drug dealing. He writes a book and gets back with Kate after apologizing to her.

David then writes a book on his experiences as a weed seller and reads his book to live audiences, sharing his stories.
