This was a great educational documentary of Israel. It was a fantastic way to get a quick overview of thousands of years of history as well as the natural beauty the country has to offer.
Even though it was led by Benjamin Netanyahu, it wasn't too political as one might expect. I read another review about how it was an "uncritical examination of Netanyahu". This was obviously a biased review as it wasn't really an examination of him at all. There was reference to policy and tenure but there wasn't really any opinionated input returned by Mr. Greenberg. Greenberg also did other "Royal Tours" where the tour guides were actually quite liberal, and those were not too political either. Again, there is talk of policy, but really only in a way to give you a background of the views of the leader.
This documentary also did a great job of including history from all of the major religions that are prevalent in Israel. For one of the sites, everyone had to wear a Yarmulke just to enter.
All in all, this was an excellent way to learn about another country and our 10 year old son watched and stayed engaged as well. We enjoyed it enough to watch the others (Ecuador & Mexico). Definitely recommend for the whole family.
