- Neal and Peter take on an unprecedented asset recovery case for the Museum of Natural History: a stolen Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton and its egg.
- We open with Neal buying a fake passport as part of a bust. Peter isn't thrilled that Neal asked a few questions about its quality and wonders if he's planning something. The forgery is so good that Peter thinks it must be a large operation. They set up observation on an address where the passport seller got parking tickets.
Neal and Mozzie think they need help to figure out the codex.
Peter and Neal go to the building where they believe the forgeries are originating. They find an ice skating rink and see a young Russian woman named Katya skating. When she sees their badges she warns them and Neal decides to pretend he's a sports agent when a large man named Sergei skates up with a hockey stick. Neal tells him Peter is a famous figure skating coach. Sergei says Katya has no interest in competing, but changes his mind when they start to leave to see other girls. Sergei gives them his card.
Peter doesn't love this cover Neal has created, but seems to agree it's the best play.
Rebecca from the museum shows up at HQ. She's there to get some answers and perhaps get a letter from Peter that attests to her innocence. Neal lies and says another agent was in charge of the investigation.
Peter looks up Sergei and his cousin Nikolai, who has a particularly long resume of criminal activity.
Peter has Elizabeth help him become a convincing fake figure skating coach.
Neal is going to have Mozzie pretend to be the agent in charge of Rebecca's museum case. His meeting with Rebecca will overlap with their meeting with Sergei. Mozzie thinks it could be doable, since Neal will have to have his anklet removed.
At the Sergei meeting Neal runs into a man claiming to be the brother of a past girlfriend. Since this would blow the cover, Peter tells him to get the guy out of there. Neal walks out the back and we see the guy was a plant.
Peter takes the meeting with Sergei by himself. Sergei calls Nikolai over and shows him that a web search revealed no hits for his alias. Peter takes the tablet and shows them the spelling was wrong. The FBI has doctored pages to make Peter look legit and is seems to work.
Mozzie and Neal meet with Rebecca. She asks Mozzie to speak privately, but he says there is something they'd like to speak to her about.
Peter and Nikolai get along famously, but Peter is required to drink a lot of vodka during their meal.
Mozzie and Neal show Rebecca their copy of the codex and say they need help deciphering it before a dangerous criminal.
Nikolai gives Peter a friendly warning to stay out of his business and focus just on the skating.
Rebecca tells Mozzie and Neal she needs to think about their offer.
Unbeknownst to Neal, Peter had Jones as back-up. He confirms that Neal left the restaurant. Jones wasn't able to follow at the time, but Peter tells him to figure out where Neal went.
Elizabeth tells Peter she's not happy his hours don't seem to have changed. She doesn't like how much she has to worry when he's in the field.
While Peter pretends to coach Katya he tries to convince her she can trust the FBI. Sergei has been abusive and she's thinks she'll be killed if she says no. Sergei and his men arrive to watch him coach and gives Peter a few test questions to make sure he's legit. Clearly he doesn't trust Peter. Meanwhile Neal sneaks into Sergei's office and snoops around. Peter distracts Sergei with hockey stuff while Neal prints off some records. Neal's discovered but pretends to be on the phone with Katya business.
Jones finds words that Sergei is bringing in new Russian mobsters. They will be impossible to find once they get clean passports. Neal suggests a party that brings them all together. An engagement party seems the most obvious solution.
Katya tells Peter she'll go along with the plan. She skates over to Sergei and tells him she'll marry him.
At the engagement party Peter stands up and makes a toast. Towards the end he informs the room they are all under arrest.
Neal and Peter say good-bye to Katya, who he leaving for Europe.
Jones takes Peter to the office building where Neal and Mozzie met Rebecca. Peter goes inside to check it out. He pokes around the chiropractor's office they used for the meeting and finds an FBI pen on the floor.
Rebecca calls Mozzie and says she wants to meet in the rare book room. She tells Neal she'll help with the codex but confesses to having spent one in jail when she was a teen. She and Neal are getting along swimmingly. But when he tells her they have only chapter 13, Rebecca tells him that the superstitious Mosconi never created a thirteenth chapter.
