In many shark attack scenes with the characters, not only is the violence merely implied as we never actually seen the shark attacking the characters, only the victims thrashing about with animated shark footage spliced in, but it is physically impossible for the shark to inhabit these waters as the height of the water only reaches up to the waist down or below their knees.

The film was shot and set in Tennessee. Geographically, this state is landlocked, as any bodies of water in this state are nowhere near the ocean so there should be no shark attacking these characters.

When Nancy Chase is filming her reality show "Ghost Whackers" with her camera man friend, there are several moments where she stops looking at the camcorder and looks straight into the camera and addresses the audience, completely breaking the fourth wall.

When Ali's friends retrieve her from the shallows after she survives her shark attack, it is very obvious that aside from the fake blood, she has no visible injuries anywhere on her body.

The TV host is doing her intro as if facing the camera, but the guy recording her with his hand-held is standing behind her in the frame.
