The girl Dan and Jackie zip-tie after the break-in claim they're kidnapping her, to which Jackie says they actually falsely imprisoning her. However, as citizen's arrest is legal in the state of Illinois, neither is true and Dan and Jackie are perfectly within the law to retain the girl. As a former cop, Jackie should have known this.
