Artisse Great Independent Film for Teens
notenoughtimeaz23 September 2015
If you are looking for a film that will explain the here after look no farther than Artisse. This little gem is both well scripted and well acted. Normally films shot in Houston, Texas emphasize the fact that it is the oil capital of the world but this film finds the gritty places where graffiti rules. When Artisse comes back from the land of the dead, she discovers that everything has changed. She also realizes that the message she brings back from her departed father can change the destiny of her mother forever. The train sequences are especially convincing showing both the hard core aspects of those areas and showing the continual passage of time. The miracle scenes are well done for a low budget film and are actually quite believable. Using an all girl graffiti gang is a nice plot twist.

What I love about Artisse
lylajoestewart12 July 2018
I must confess - I love art and movies about artists are often my favorite. Finding a movie about an artists who paints with divine inspiration was a great thing. The paintings are beautiful the characters of Artisse is well balanced and the actress is both beautiful and mesmerizing at the same time. There were no worn out cliches or warn plots just intriguing dialogue and a compelling story of an artist with a true gift who wants to change the world. Thanks for such a great film to watch.
