My Mental Choices are Completely Interfering with my School Romantic Comedy
Tweekums17 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Series protagonist, Kanade Amakusa, suffers from a rather unusual curse; every so often he is forced to make a choice. This might sound like everyday life but his choices are limited and absolute and if he doesn't choose quickly he suffers a blinding headache. This being a slightly echii series his choices are often a bit perverse which leads to him earning an unwanted reputation at school. One day he gets a very strange choice; either he will fall from the sky or a girl will! He picks the latter and a girl, who will later name herself Chocolat, falls from the heavens and lands on him. It turns out that she has been sent by God to help him undertake a series of missions; should he complete them all the curse will be lifted but if he fails even one he will be stuck with it forever.

While this might not be a classic in the making it is an entertaining little series. Kanade's choices provide plenty of laughs as he is forced to make himself look distinctly weird in front of his class. He is a surprisingly sympathetic character as we know that he isn't really a weird pervert. The series follows the usual tropes; apart from Kanade where aren't any significant male characters but there is a harem of females who give the series a fair amount of fan service. There is nothing too bad though; I don't recall any 'lens flare' or 'censor steam' that frequently indicates the naughtier stuff has been saved for those who buy the DVD! The various characters were rather fun and even if some were a little cliché they were distinctive from each other. Overall I'd say that while this isn't a must see series it passes the time nicely if you want a good laugh; it is just a shame it was only ten episodes long.

It's only 10 episodes and they fly by trust me. Cute anime worth watching.

An interesting way to show adolescence

No complex script or full of ulterior motives, just a creative way of presenting teenagers' decision-making difficulties and their day-to-day consequences.

Very fun and with a little bit of "romance" and sensuality.
