Good movie for young generation

The movie is based on real life situations of ordinary secondary school in Odisha.

The movie closely related to real life and it reflects.

The movie has different shades.

The movie contains comedy, drama, tragedy.

If you have lived this life then you will definitely enjoy the movie.

It was exciting to watch and eventually feels like ok.

The part where a friend died was tragic and the background score is commendable.

Acting could have been improved in many places.

The last song is good one.

Acting: 8/10 Cinematography: 10/10 Music: 10/10 Story: 5/10

The movie have social messages like gender biasness (well taught by explaining XY chromosome).

It show how a teacher can be lobed by students.

It show the friendship in school days.

The reflection of student life is very neat and kudos to the director.

The acting could have been better sometimes but many times expect the comedy scenes felt like over acting.

Overall good movie. You will enjoy it if you belong to certain demographic.

But thanks to the maker for originality.

11/10 for the language used. No or very less other language. That's great.

Music is extraordinary and the experiments well worked.

One thing I must say that the minute details are really good and it shows the seriousness of the makes.

There are lot of things to mention. Good work and more like this movie should come.

An Odia Movie Which all odias will be proud of

Set in a Humble and Country side background of School Life. Typically showing the 10th Class Journey, which justifies the Name of the Movie " Dasama ". ( The Odia name of what we call Daswi Kaksha in hindi/ 10th standard in English).

4 friends and Their Classmates leading us through the entire session of a curricular year with shades of emotions and feelings.

Wisely Tapping on the Nostalgia Nerves of the audience watching the movie. You go on a ride with all of them from the 1st frame itself. Odia or Non Odias everyone can relate mostly to the narration.

No stardom is over powering the story or screenplay. Odia actors Sailendra Samantray, Akash Hota, Funny Pratik, Nilakhi Patra, Xonty, Jyoti, Arman,Sushant,Rippon,suman all of them Fresh in the acting arena has actually worked for the young and creative Director Mr Raja D.

Music is making this Journey even more beautiful. Said to be the 1st Musical Cinema of Odisha, it actually have cracked the musical connection too. Audience go numb with the melodious background music and fabulous songs. Kudos to Anurag Pattnaik, Gaurav Anand, Singers of Odia industry.

Comic Timing and Expressive Youthful Portrayal of Scenes after Scenes have actually made the 3hrs story a cake walk. You will laugh and cry equally. Wait for the Climax to Hypnotize you.

What's important is, It is a Flexible and Free Story coming from the not so famous land of Ollywood. Released in Odisha in Odia language and Projected to be released Pan India soon + Association of an OTT release too awaited.

Odia audience has already made this 10th Class Team a Wise winner. Lets see what India has to say ?!!!!

Refreshing Movie

This movie refresh memories of school days with very beautiful realistic narration. It demonstrates the close bonding between school students and their journey through ups and downs. Newcomer actors gave their best and acted superbly to win the heart of the audience across all age groups. Some scenes are very emotional, heart-touching, funny, thrilling, and it leaves a imprinting impression on the audience mind. Akash hota, Sailendra samantaray were outstanding in their performance along with Rabi Mishra and Armaan Mohanty. I would recommend all the movie lover especially odia movie lovers to give this movie a try.

Awesome Odiya Movie DASAMA

In my view Dashama is a film that not only entertains but also educates and provokes thought about the socio-cultural dynamics of rural education in Odisha. It is a poignant reminder of the simpler times of childhood and the foundational role that school days play in shaping individuals. This movie is a treasure for those looking to revisit the nostalgia of their school days through the lens of Odia cinema. I never studied in rural school but used to hear from my father. I felt as if I was living his schooldays and felt proud of my Odiya culture . The performances by a mostly young cast are commendable, bringing out the innocence and earnestness required for such roles. They manage to evoke a sense of nostalgia for viewers who have themselves grown up in similar settings or can relate to the universal themes of childhood and schooling. It was my first meeting with my Odiya family and believe me I loved it . Thanks all for making my day .

A Time Travel to Your Teenage

A very good movie with lots of entertainment. Completely changed my perception towards Odia film making and quality. Great believable performance by all the artist with a fabulous story telling by Raja D.

Major Capturing Moments-

• Replicating Saurav Ganguli's , NatWest moment.

• Annual Function rehearsal moment.

• Adha Adhura Teenage Love story and attentions to show biological changes during these times.

• Genuine and positive comedy writing.

• Cleverly ignored the Guardian screen time to show Teenage decision making and mistakes due to lack of knowledge.

-A healthy student rivalry and no one is real villain, its just male ego.

• A nostalgic screenplay with comedy, drama, tragedy & Musical. A complete family entertainer.

Kudos to the whole team for attention to detail & production Design---- -self-discipline and indiscipline getup from both sections in the same class to define their different behavioral characteristics.

• Akash hota covering the tattoo for rest of the films after punished by the teacher except the NCC parade part as covering hand in a black cloth is not a pert of the costume.

• All the books are used books like 3-4 year old and while notepads are new ones.

• Dates and sections are keep changing on the black board as per story moves forward.

• Hero Honda bat stickerand many more.

Also How can I forget Sipoooooon and his unofficial follower making a bomb in the science fair. :D.

Dasama a must watch Odia movie

After a long time watched an Odia movie. It was amazing to see tue new generation is creating marvels. Script, screenplay, acting , comedy timing... everything was amazing. Never expected. It was nostalgic, refreshed my school day memories. The teenage problems, feelings, infatuations, crush. It's a must watch.

Every one can connect with the characters... SAKABA... the bday wish... Siba nka munda re fula chandana .... Janma dina ra avinandana, England ... SIPUN ... amazing supporting characters.

Amazing creation of Raja D, brilliant direction.

Shailendra's acting was so natural... social message.

Highly recommended to watch it... Odisha and Odia people we should be proud to have these amazing talents. It's a must watch.

Pure Nostalgia. A Must watch movie !!

A thorough entertainment. One of the best Odia movie I have watched so far, organised by Odia society, Netherlands . Great direction by Raja D, acting by all the actors including the leads- Sailendra Smaantray and Niladi Patra. The production house AaoNxt is definitely making a solid impact in Odisha.

Something you should feel proud of - we had around 10 children of the high school age. Most of them brought up outside India and not all can speak Odia. However, all those children thoroughly enjoyed the movie and some even loved it. This is a great compliment that we have ever received as organisers. Take a bow team Dashama. Great job !!
