Janis wears a Hawaiian shirt that is very reminiscent of the garish outfits that her father, Al, wore in the original Quantum Leap.
Shortly after the episode aired the show was canceled making the episode a series finale.
Jeffrey has a Time Zone pinball machine in the garage where he is building his computer.
Reference is made to the events of the original Quantum Leap's finale, wherein Sam Beckett changed history so that Al's wife, Beth, waited for Al while he was a Prisoner of War in Vietnam. This resulted in them remaining married and going on to have four daughters, including Janis, who appears in this episode. This played out in the final moments of the original show, making it the last thing the audience ever saw Sam do. It's fitting then that it was acknowledged in what ultimately turned out to be the final episode of the revived show.
