- Stuart plans an epic pool party in hopes that Kimberly, a model he recently met, will attend. Jessica finds inspiration in a homeless 19-year-old named Heaven.
- Wade (Nate Torrence) is giving Stuart a tour of his new bachelor apartment, which Stuart finds a little depressing. But Wade likes the apartment and the pool outside which he can reserve for parties.
At Stuart's house, Rory (Kyle Mooney) has finished making invitations for the pool party Stuart is throwing. Jessica enters and they give her an invitation and Stuart tells her to bring 20 of her most attractive friends. She declines.
Jessica (Christine Woods) is volunteering at a soup kitchen and meets a young homeless woman named Heaven (Rosa Salazar). Jessica invites Heaven to sleep on her air mattress. Stuart doesn't want Heaven to stay at the house, but agrees when Jessica says she'll invite her friends to his party after all.
In Stuart's office, Rory and Stuart call Glen, Jessica's agent-beau. Once again, Glen doesn't recognize Stuart until he says "chicken wings," which is what Stuart was eating one night when Glen came to visit Jessica. Stuart asks Glen to invite all of his model actress friends to Stuart's pool party. Glen says OK and also suggests Stuart hire a catering service that uses models as the bartenders. Rory takes care of that.
Stuart tracks down Andy (David Hornsby), the man who owns a modeling agency and who Stuart insulted at a dinner party previously ("The Dinner.") He apologizes and Andy accepts. Stuart says he wants to apologize to others at the party and can Andy give him some of the phone numbers. One of them belongs to the tall blonde model, Kimberly (Heather Hahn) who joined the party at the end, the model from the billboard Stuart often stares at. Stuart calls Heather and invites her to his pool party. She says yes.
While making party plans, Stuart realizes he doesn't want people to trash his house, so he talks Wade into hosting the party at his complex pool.
In Jessica's studio, Heaven is lying on the sofa, bored, and asks for drugs. Jessica really wants to help Heaven but Heaven isn't interested in working on a resume or getting a job. She spends the day lying around, eating, and complaining. Jessica is having second thoughts about helping the girl.
On the day of the party, Stuart, Wade, and Rory are setting up in the pool area at Wade's complex. Stuart wants to make sure only invited people come to the party and leaves strict instructions with the gate security guard not to let anyone in who doesn't have a printed invitation.
The party doesn't shape up the way Stuart had imagined. The model-bartender ends up being a male who is more likely get attention from women than Stuart. Kids from the complex are in the pool with floaties. Several of the bachelors from the complex join in, and he overhears the bartender calling it a "gay middle age party." An irate mother knocks Stuart's phone into the pool. He retrieves it but it doesn't work.
In Jessica's studio, Heaven calls Jessica a fascist. Unable to throw Heaven out directly, Jessica tells her that her landlord insists Heaven leave.
Two beautiful models appear, brightening Stuart's mood. They look nonplussed by the party until they meet the bartender, who flirts successfully with them. Stuart derails that, and the models leave.
Stuart looks around at his "gay middle age" party and is disappointed it's not like a Playboy mansion party. He tells Wade he's going home and leaves. As he drives away, he doesn't notice Glen driving in with four beautiful women in his car.
At home, Stuart is looking at his computer. Unknown to him, Kimberly has appeared at the party, which is now full of people and Kives is being successful talking to women.
Jessica takes Heaven to a shelter and wishes her luck after accusing Heaven of stealing her iPhone (which she finds in her own pocket).
Stuart sees an Instagram-type notification and sees that his party has picked up without him. He hurries and drives to the complex, but the guard won't let him in because, according to his own instructions, he doesn't have an invitation. And he can't call Wade to let him in because his phone was damaged in the pool.
The pool party takes place full of beautiful people having fun while Stuart watches from behind a locked gate. He watches as Kimberly plays around in the pool.
