Entertaining and as always - a nice social commentary on current events, but...
ivan-pavlov-ivanov22 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The episode started off well - two topics that SP hasn't really touched on so far - OnlyFans and the so-called "influencers". The premise was interesting and it kept me hooked. Logan Paul will officially be renamed as Logan LeDouche by the internet, and I love it.

I never thought I'd write this, but all the animated d*cks on my screen made me laugh out loud.

However, the plot kind of started falling off towards the end, the "big" reveal of who really influences the children was a big letdown for me. Making fun of a big, unexpected corporation would have been more entertaining, rather than... well, whatever we got.

And then the final minutes, where you think that everything will change and the hype around Cred will die, we are right back at the beginning and nothing is different. The whole journey the kids took was for little to nothing.

It really means it

Adults only.

Not suitable for children.

Matt and Trey have hit us up again with a show concerning social and newsworthy show. They are always good about pointing out to us what needs fixing in our world with laughs.

This time it's influencers and then shilling crap products to kids...and all of us being fed the lie that because they are on platforms like YouTube and others that are supposed to have an age minimum, kids should have no access to these products or influencers. And we know that's a huge lie. There's nothing stopping kids from having access to Facebook, TikTok , YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms BUT PARENTS.

And to compare Only Fans to these platforms, like it's somewhere kids cannot access, is a joke.

We are all for sale in one way or another.

Either as someone who is selling themselves online. Or as a consumer of a product sold to us to belong.

And in this case we have to look at Randy's dick for most of the episode to "learn something today".

It was quite unpredictable
ericstevenson28 December 2023
I have to admit that this wasn't nearly as good as the last special. Trey Parker and Matt Stone said they're specials, not movies! Anyway, this episode featured all the kids in "South Park" being addicted to this energy drink Cred. Clyde hides the fact that he doesn't have any. Meanwhile, Randy tries to make extra money by making porn on an OnlyFans profile. I hadn't even heard of OnlyFans before!

I didn't know about Prime Beverages either. The best scene was probably when the kids got to Pueblo and children were killed. Yeah, that's morbid, but it's to be expected from this show. While slow moving, I was still eager to see what would happen next. The miners joke was nicely done too. This is why I just avoid social pornographic websites. ***

Are you between the ages of 6 and 21? You may want to pay attention
Amthermandes22 December 2023
Because you may be the center of the joke here. Do you follow "influencers?" Do you hang on every word of a YouTuber or OnlyFans content creator? Do you rely on the latest modern trend, or the opinion of the hottest internet influencer to make decisions in your life?

If your answer if "yes" to any of the above, then you need help. Thankfully, South Park is here to the rescue! If you're a young Millennial or a Gen-Z, or one of the freaks of nature even younger than that, then you're in luck, because with this latest covert episode of South Park, you may be able to break free of your chains of social and digital conformity if you only listen to reason and not your stupid "in-the-loop" high school buddy!

This episode hits the nail on the head. Kids these days are more susceptible to modern trends than any generation before. It might be because they're more stupid, or simply more influenceable because the internet is so sneaky and misleading these days.

Regardless, this episode does what South Park does best: expose the hypocrisies of modern trends, and crosses the line as far as possible while doing so.

If you're a victim of social and digital manipulation, there is hope for you yet. Wake up, wise up, stay in school, stop buying into the latest trends, and BE YOURSELF!!! Oh, and fight bullying!!!

Fitting satire for our times.
handsomehugh22 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This piece of satire is well thought through and executed in typical south park style.

The social environment occupied by the young people in our world is somewhat mysterious and incomprehensible to adults who tend to be focused on everything but what our kids are doing with their time and resources.

Matt and Trey are giving us a taste of the dystopian world our kids are currently experiencing and whereas the main themes of capitalism gone wrong are as old as the hills, they unfold in front of our eyes only to bring it down like a hammer the fact that we have become blind to it all.

Shame that the persons to benefit the most from watching this episode have been age restricted although my hunch is that they will see it anyway.

It was about time.

Well done.

Real problem
fursecu21 December 2023
I liked the way they've built this special, it is much more grounded than the last special, and I think a bit weaker.

Or maybe it is so because of the subject involved: I'm not sure how serious is this in the USA, but I have to tell you that in Europe it's a big deal nowdays - children being "influenced" on social media platforms (mostly YT or Twitch), by grown-ups "influencers" sponsored by the betting companies, energy drinks, pawn-shops etc. Not to mention that video chatting industry, and of course OF are just the norm here.

Randy was just hilarious and stole the show, but I think the CRED subject was a bit too much for me, maybe they've should have added another funny subplot.

But overall I am happy that at least we got another special episode this year!

Thanks guys!

Best episode in years
benthomasfoster17 January 2024
From the social commentary of modern times, to subverting what your expectations are and going completely beyond the normal scope of even South Park.

Almost every aspect of this episode has the hallmarks of a great south park episode.

My young niece was obsessed with "Prime" this Christmas the soft drink that this episode untimely is about. An episode comply grounding in the moment.

Then also going as far as parodying Only Fans. Geniusly making Randy Marsh the centre of this arc.

It just works in a perfect whole that other recent south park epsiodes don't.

And then even going as far as joking about the illuminati and powers that be that allows this stuff in our society. It's a no hoild bared episode of south park that I'm sure will stand the testament of time.

A Prolonged Misfire
ensignz23 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The latest South Park special missed the mark for me by opting for an hour-long format instead of a concise 20-minute episode. The extended runtime didn't do it any favors, as the humor felt dragged out, lacking the sharp wit and satire that characterized earlier South Park episodes. It's disheartening to see the show veering towards the mind-numbing tendencies of contemporary The Simpsons.

The individual storylines, like Cartman's Cred club antics or Stan's dad repeating "I want to beat my wife" failed to land any comedic punches for me. Also Clyde's swearing at his stepmom was a miss. The episode as a whole felt like a tedious marathon, and I found myself eagerly waiting for it to conclude. South Park seemed to falter with uninspiring dialogue and a satire that barely scratched the surface of its earlier brilliance.

While the episode touched on topical themes like influencers, OnlyFans, and the "prime drink," the execution left much to be desired. Sure, there were a few standout scenes, like the drug deal for the Cred drink behind the school, but the overall message didn't resonate, and the writing could have benefited from more nuance. Instead, it felt like the humor was being hammered down, missing the mark on what makes South Park truly great.

One of the best. Well done.
Eston_Kohver24 January 2024

I rate said episode very well. For years, SP has made me laugh with his genius approach to humor, pointing out the pain points of everyday life, telling us stories about land and seas. With this particular episode, Trey and Matt have either hit the nail on the head or made a slight dent in showing viewers what they're capable of, and I hope they continue to do so.

I would like to believe that the creators of SP remind themselves from time to time how incredible it is that society has been affected by the such of satire, not only in the US, but all over the world. Glad to see a vision become something more than a closed life's work.

Peak
I liked it def not as good as the last special, pandervse. It could have been better and kinda wish they brought up more current trending things, like there are so much more things going on in the world than energy drinks...Jk I know it's deeper than that but still. Also would love to see a Miranda sings feature in the new season, to obviously rip on her, and Dream. Like I think south park should really try to talk about things gen z things. I liked the brief james charles and tana monjo or whatever feature. But like these people were way more popular years back, if they were being made fun of in south park in 2018, it would have been better and more relevant. I still enjoyed watching this. I just hope the next season will be more fresh and relevant, being able to attract both the older audience, AND, arguably most importantly, gen Z audience (I say this as a gen z person myself) But overall entertaining and funny. Also, JESUS! Fully uncencored pen!s. Lol.

Taking on the wrold, righteously
R-Ronteltap8 March 2024
Wow, in this episode, Matt and Trey take on the biggest evil-ist empire yet, that is known to (and made by) man kind: social media big tech.

. A multi-trillion dollar industry capable of crushing continents.

. Excellent work in exposing this sickening expliicit targeting of children for online profit. Regulation needs to catch up quicly to this menace.

. Okay, some more text required by IMDB. I recommend watchitng the following documentaries and/or movies: Social Network, The Social Dilemma, Not Okay, and of course, South Parks own visionary "The New Wendy" that that comically shows the effects on teenagers that choose to be not online anymore.

Hilarious, powerful and profound
grantss10 April 2024
Cred is a sports drink that is all the rage at the kids' school and is a determinant of popularity - the more Cred you have, the more popular you are. Meanwhile, after a teacher at the school is discovered to been posting videos on Only Fans and making large amounts of money from it, Randy Marsh decides to become an Only Fans model.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are in top form in this South Park special. Poking fun at influencers, unhealthy, unnecessary sports drinks, the superficiality of social media and popularity and the stealthy, underhanded marketing to children this special is a great send up of some the blights of our age. Done in their usual biting, over-the-top style this special is hilarious yet powerful and profound.

There are times when it comes close to being repetitive but the plot largely manages to avoid that with some very unpredictable changes of direction.

An entertaining watch, however it got repetitive quick.
hodaja-2315321 December 2023
South Park: Not Suitable For Children is clear proof that the South Park writers are beginning to struggle with these hour long specials. Don't get me wrong, this was an entertaining watch, however the comedic element in this special started to decay half way through before being almost completely lost towards the end, where there are jokes where you're more likely to roll your eyes at them than laugh. There isn't a clear line between the A plot and B plot here as they both link up halfway through the show. The overall message of the show is that Prime Energy and Onlyfans are not suitable for children, and it does so through repetitive jokes that got no more than a chuckle from me, and a plot that would have been better suited for the original show's 20 minute runtime, rather than an hour long special. So if you plan to watch this: expect repetitive jokes and a plot that only makes sense if you understand what they're making fun of.

One of the most bland and lifeless things to ever come from South Park
jaxxds28 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The A and B plot of this "special" got old after the 10 minute mark. This episode might genuinely be worse than the jakovasaurs episode or the serialized episodes of more recent seasons...

The A plot is Cartman and the rest of the kids being addicted to an energy drink called "Cred". Why are they addicted to it? Because online "influencers" are sponsored by them and they push kids to drink it. The "social commentary" with this plot is as shallow as possible, with a simple "haha kids are stupid and are easily influenced by online "influencers" and those "influencers" know that and use it to push things onto kids".

The B plot is another Randy focused one. For the love of God, Randy isn't funny anymore. Stop making him a main focus of every special and almost every episode!!!! The plot is that a teacher is discovered to have an onlyfans account and the parents are mad about it since she influences their kids but Randy isn't mad anymore when he hears that she makes $10k a week from it so he decided to make his own onlyfans page. Eventually Sharon gets mad enough at him and decides to start her own onlyfans page which leads to Randy using Cred to have the algorithm push his content more. Oh and btw, this causes Randy to have his uncensored junk being on screen almost every time he's in the special, to the point where you just want to stop watching and never continue (other male characters also show their junk). The "social commentary" here is something something, social media websites aren't safe for kids but people turn a blind eye to that fact so they can target kids and get more views.

This "special" felt like another instances of Matt and Trey just looking at a checklist and picking what topics they want to focus on even if the two topics feel extremely disconnected.

This "special" was a bore to watch, as it had nothing interesting or special to say. Heck, it wasn't even funny. I maybe exhaled loudly twice while watching, not even one laugh. It's almost like they don't bother adding in jokes now and instead just hope and pray that the plots themselves are funny enough to keep viewership. But that certainly wasn't the case with either of these plots, especially the Randy B plot (but that's no real surprise). Also yet again we get an episode or "special" where Stan, Kyle, and Kenny aren't important. Heck, Kenny isn't even seen or mentioned in this "special". Really? Not even a scene of Cartman mocking Kenny for being too poor to buy Cred? Again, it feels like Matt and Trey have completely forgotten that South Park is about the four boys.

It's pretty clear that one of three things is happening. Either:

1. Matt and Trey are burnt out or just don't care anymore and are putting minimal effort into South Park now

2. Matt and Trey are using AI to make episodes now

Or

3. Matt and Trey aren't really involved and just have interns writing everything now and they just give their stamps of approval.

Whichever one it is, South Park is clearly directionless and just a sinking ship. I miss the days where I looked forward to new South Park releasing but now I just know better...

Oh, how the might have fallen...
shadowpriest10022 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
South park season 1-10 was some of the best content to ever be on TV, but South park today is completely unwatchable...

All original story ideas are long gone. Every episode in the last 8 or so season is just an animated version of whatever was on the news that week. Everyone eagerly waits for the new episodes, thinking "I hope Matt and Trey make fun of the people I don't like!", as if their opinions suddenly become gospel when put in cartoon form...

Each episode now revolves around picking 1 or 2 jokes about whats trending, and then milking the same joke for 20-40 minutes.

You can literally sum up every episode with a few talking points. In this one, its: -kids are dumb for following the prime trend -influencers are harming kids

There, now you don't even have to watch it...
