Garbage
gianmarcoronconi30 April 2023
This film is pure garbage, defined as horror would not scare anyone and even all the moments where anxiety should be at maximum levels are so dull as to be almost ridiculous. Moreover, the acting is really pitiful and this contributes to the aura of ridicule that hovers throughout the film, then the ''bad guys'' with that plastic mask and the black sweatshirt should make you anxious but instead they only make you laugh and also the final scene is expected, senseless and ridiculous. In conclusion, the film is horrendous and almost unwatchable also due to the coherence holes scattered throughout the film.

just terrible

Warning: Spoilers
The film starts sooooo slow, and for more than half the film nothing happens, (apart from some scenes where they raise the tension for nothing). And for all the film the protagonist will continue to complain, making the film a torment. Not to mention the reactions of the characters. The protagonist creates a spear to defend herself, but as soon as she sees the killer she throws it on the ground ... why!? Then it is not that she runs away from home NOOO! She goes back upstairs! But the worst are the killers who at times seem dumber than the protagonist! They could catch her for the whole movie, instead they let her escape all over the house like idiots !! I do not recommend, waste of time!

PS. In the Italian dubbing, the dubbers seem to have a broom sticking up their asses, I expected a little more from Italian directors!

Interesting

Warning: Spoilers
This movie at the beginning seemed to me a bit boring but since i had nothing else to do i decided to give it a try,it all starts pretty normal and slow,we see a normal couple n their everyday life, suddenly the husband has to go away on a business trip. The wife stays alone in the middle of nowhere and strange things start to happen, there is a creepy guy wearing a creepy mask outside the house.I don't really want to make a spoiler but the wife isn't as innocent as she appears since she had a relationship with one of her students. As i said before i don't want to give away the movie but the end made sense, pretty brutal sense but that was the conclusion,at some point i thought i was watching the movie 'the strangers' but fortunately i wasn't so furthermore i do recommend this movie

A stunning movie, a great plot
stefano7329 August 2014
A stunning end for a great and well thought invasion movie plot. You don't imagine the reason why the starring is haunted by the unknown presence(s) until the very last minutes. I can't imagine how exciting this movie could have appeared if it had more budget available for production (special effects, post production handling). Despite this inconvenient, the plot overcomes this limit and gives an example about the way the psychological insights of the characters should be written and digs into the deepest fears of being violated in what we consider to be the safest place in our life : our home. Technically, the shooting is very good, the exposure (and games) of light and the editing is the best that the tools available to production could have offered.

Home Alone

Found this to be a very neat and tidy little chiller. Good location and atmosphere as the camera prowls around an isolated house in which a teacher has been left alone. Plenty of tension as she begins to suspect she is not alone. We get little clues as things build to quite a disturbing and unsettling conclusion. An excellent central performance that relates the growing unease very well. Probably needed just a bit more substance to the story but this is well worth a look and I'm surprised it hasn't got more attention.

OK mystery, terrible poster art
mjanssens262 January 2021
This film's terrible poster art almost made me skip this movie. The film's production values are excellent yet at times the sound could be better. Overall, it's a tense picture about someone who's stalking a pregnant woman at an isolated house while her husband is away on business. It's not a horror film really, more of a slow burn mystery/revenge film but it's interesting enough to hold your attention to the end.

Well done and worth watching
MannyInNewYork24 February 2015
I liked it. It is extremely slow moving but that seems to add to the atmosphere. If you've ever spent any time out in the countryside alone you will be able to relate to this pacing – maybe that's what made it more enjoyable for me. It is creepy for sure and although not much happens for the first three quarters of the movie, it manages to be creepy from the beginning right through to the end. Just the repeated scenes of the view from the main windows are done in such a way that they create tension and angst – good call by the director/writers.

The music works well. It's not a high budget movie but so what – it takes place in a house out in the middle of nowhere. I watched it twice because I was a bit confused about some of the plot. After the second viewing I came away thinking "okay, now this makes sense". I could still be wrong. I was hoping to find other reviews with some insight into the plot but so far there aren't any.

It's a good movie. Worth watching. Interesting, intense and unique.
