- The guys help a bounty hunter friend who's been accused of beating up one of his collars. Damien has suddenly become a changed man and Stanton intimates that changes to the firm's personnel are in the offing.
- Open with the guys meeting with an old buddy named Harley Walls, a bounty hunter. His wife is going after him for sole custody of their two daughters because he made a bad investment. While they talk he takes off after a man named Tony he's been following. The guys is an employee of Paul Fitzgerald, the man who screwed Harley over.
Karp shows up to the office unshaven and wearing street clothes. He tells King that following his murder and the likelihood he'll never be a judge he no longer cares about things the same way. He leans in and kisses King.
The guys come home to find a probation officer waiting for them. King has refused to sign their probation paperwork and they'll need to appear at a hearing the following day.
King tells the guys the reason she didn't sign their paperwork is that a DA told her they were involved in an assault. She's referring to the incident with Harley.
Harley tells the guys all he did was shoot Tony with a beanbag, and that he thought he had missed since he kept running. He used no force, but Franklin is sent a picture of Tony whose face is a disaster. Harley swears it wasn't him.
Later that day Harley tells the guys he's had his license revoked. With Carmen out of town they don't have anyone to look for witnesses. Harley says he can do it, and Pindar will tag along.
Infeld tells King he's going to take over Franklin and Bash's probation paperwork. Their probation hearing is off and King doesn't like it.
Swatello shows up to talk about Tony. He's saying that Harley hit him with a hockey stick hard enough to crack the stick. She has a subpoena for Harley's stick.
The guys visit Tony in prison. They offer to help him with his robbery charge if he tells the truth. He tells them he's already got a high-priced attorney and isn't talking.
Harley shows up to court without the stick. He says he can't find it. Swatello responds by charging Harley with assault. He tells the guys he's had the stick with him for two years and has no idea where it went. They think it was probably stolen by someone connected to Fitzgerald.
Harley gives Pindar pointers about how to be a good bounty hunter.
While playing with Harley's bounty hunter toys the guys have an idea.
In court the guys attempt to argue self-defense using the beanbag gun. The judge tells them to take it out of her court. They argue and (intentionally) Bash is shot in the face. He wakes up in judge's chambers. Franklin looks at his face (which is fine) and tells the judge they're fine with going to a jury.
The still underdressed Karp makes a pitch to a potential client. It doesn't work at all and Infeld asks where things are going with this life change. Infeld thinks there might still be a chance for Karp to be a judge.
With Tony on the stand Franklin argues the injuries he sustained happened before he got to the police station. Bash then enters the courtroom with his face now a complete mess. The say that Harley used the bean bag gun in self-defense and Tony made up the story about the hockey stick to cover.
While out on a double date the guys run into Charlie. Bash chases her down and blames Franklin him being on the date. They talk about their first kiss and exchange a pleasant hug.
Harley tells the guy he's lost his license. The only way he can get it back is if he proves someone else is to blame. He seems to have given up. The guys think they need to find Fitzgerald to prove he's behind what's happened.
Harley stops by to say good-bye to Pindar. Pindar tells him he's figured out a way to find Fitzgerald. He thinks Fitzgerald will watch the graduation of his son from the roof of his brother's hotel across the street.
The guys break down the door to the roof and tell Fitzgerald if he doesn't admit to setting up Harley they'll have his son arrested for being an accomplice to a wanted fugitive. He agrees, so long as they let his son graduate. He tells them he thought Ventris getting hit with the beanbag was an opportunity to get rid of Harley, who was getting to close. The police arrive and grab Fitzgerald, telling him the stuff about arresting his son was just a bluff.
Swatello tells Franklin she was approached by Infeld, who offered her a job. She hasn't decided and he says they should discuss it at her place.
Infeld tells Pindar that "change is coming" and suggests he's too valuable to be sitting on the sidelines.
Karp returns to the office in his regular suit and regular attitude. He tells King he can't stop thinking about the kiss, the reason being that he can't get involved with a co-worker.
At that night's party we learn Harley will be getting his license back. The guys have also talked to his wife's ex and gotten he to back off. Pindar rushes over and tells the guys to follow them. He shows them video of Rob Lowe threatening them and we see that Charlie is with him.
