A good family film but is still lacking
ClariSays26 December 2020
Honestly, I enjoyed watching the film and would recommend it to families and people who want to have a good time. But though many enjoyed it and is one of the top earners, the film received mixed to negative reviews.

One problem is the flow. There are many instances where you'll ask, what exactly Baba is doing to clear her name. Why is there bad blood between them? And then, there's this feeling that everything went fast-forward.

Some of the questions were answered towards the end. But since you felt that they were in a hurry to tell the story, you just sort of accepted how it was answered. There wasn't any whoa and ah even nice one moment!

Second is the mini commercial. They did this before in one Enteng Kabisote film which was subtle compared here in 'My Little Bossings'. They could have just placed the product there and get on with the story. But they delivered a few lines about the products.

Boring. Dull. Lazy. Kiss-ass sponsor movie. Topped off with terrible acting.

Boring. Dull. Lazy. Kiss-ass sponsor movie. Topped off with terrible acting. Though the success of the movie through the Gross rating by averaging over 50 million in opening night (December 25th), the film failed to live up to the hype as it shows that some trailers can only get you so far. Not only was the movie full of terrible acting, the film was also showered by kiss-ass sponsors of products. Throughout the movie you will notice the sponsorship and featuring to get dumber and dumber as the movie progresses on. Though we can accept the fact the acting wasn't good since the movie is being starred by a 60 year old man and 2 child actors. The movie was still hard to focus. Not only was the movie editing confusing and mediocre, the movie script loses it's sense halfway towards the movie. Though the great acting of Kris and Aiza made the story much more bearable, it wasn't enough to carry the over-hyped movie into the audience success. All-in-all, if you want to see bad directing, horrible editing, bad screenplay, mediocre joke, terrible child acting and massive product sponsorship suck-up, look no further, "My Little Bossings" the disappointment, oh I meant movie for you!

This film refuses to try... My Little Bossings is an insult.

I noticed that at almost every new sequence features ad placements, each of them awfully inserted, and bears no evident effort to integrate with the plot. Well, there is barely any, in the first place.

Tedious and wasteful, it is a train wreck of a film that uses its screen time to steal its audience's money and peddle its advertisers.

While the movie made no apologies for banking its big name stars, There's no art to it or any craft; no effort exerted beyond the minimum necessary to create something that might be called a movie. This one barely achieves that distinction, held together as it is by an abundance of filler and product placement. It is far less than the public deserves.

The concept isn't terrible. The execution, however, is pretty terrible. The film doesn't commit to having a plot. It meanders through a mess of random scenes, with no sense of urgency or forward direction.

Overall, My Little Bossings looked to be a promising movie. Only that, it failed to bank on the greatness of its "little bossings" that it appeared too cheap and too commercialized.
