I don't usually write reviews but...

Warning: Spoilers
I felt as if I needed to write a comment on what I think. Now I literally just finished this episode and I can say I'm a little disappointed, the episode seemed poorly written and some of the VFX were terrible. The flying CGI was amateur and I feel as if I could have done it and I know nothing about VFX.; it felt way too comedic especially when the barman landed in the bin, which just felt stupid to watch. I also hated the fact that Jess decided to have a child with Luke instead of Rudy, it seemed a bit strange but I guess it was to do with her motherly love towards the child. I also thought that the characters reacted poorly considering Jess had been missing for a year. Rudy was the only one with what felt like a genuine reaction.

Anyway the only reason I kind of liked the episode is because it seemed to have an ok ending of Jess breaking out the relationship with Luke, by using her mobile phone.

Overall 6/10 it was ok but i though we could have got a better ending considering it was the finale.

Color Me Disappointed *SPOILERS*

Warning: Spoilers
I have to agree with the other reviewer. I thought this season was great: they finally fell into a natural fit as a group and the characters were allowed to grow and continue to be fleshed out. Rudy carried the show per usual and continued to be a stellar soul to the show, but everyone else became a thoroughly enjoyable character.

BUT

This episode was absolutely a let down. They seemed to truly have jumped the shark in this one. (Read no further if you haven't seen it *SPOILERS FOLLOW*) Alex screwing the flying kid, Sam, in midair? All of them finishing community service at the same time? Visual effects that were hands down the worst they've had in any episode? It honestly was like elementary school kids made them. Rudy uncharacteristically pissing himself? Clever, way to kill her but out of character. Maybe if he had intentionally done it.

All in all, it didn't deliver. I wanted something more satisfactory as an end to the show or even to the season. This felt more like something that belonged in the middle of the season. Still onboard for a movie though.

Disappointing Ending
bobsta9811 December 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Misfits has never been the same since series 2, with season 3 being my least favourite and I didn't even view series 4. However I entered series 5 with an open mind and it was rarely disappointing with a larger use of powers and I was able to get to terms with the departure of the original cast. However the build up of the entire series with the jumper that predicts the future was disappointingly carried out. A story arch reminiscent of multiple previous episodes involving the bulk of the episode occurring after time has been manipulated seems incredibly unoriginal and seems like a safety net for the writer as he can just rewind time if people are upset with the outcome. In short, the outcome of the episode has no impact on the overall canon and the ending just seems like an ordinary ending with no overall impact. The episode would have been a lot more emotional and dramatic if the events that happened in the future were non-reversible. Aside from the story, the special effects were on par with a YouTube Lego stop-motion animator and not what you would expect when the special effects in previous episodes seemed a lot better.

Full of Unanswered Questions

So many random problems and continuity errors that it's really difficult to watch. A very disappointing Finale.

-How did Rudy manage to just completely forget about Nadine, despite her being the Love of His Life? -Why did Jess and Rudy get together? -Why did Jess forgive Alex so quickly when he CHEATED on her? Yet with Rudy she went Full-On rage for 2 episodes when he only videoed her pooping. -Why did the Jumper Possé freak out about Finn, even though they had met the main group several times before? They all acted like they didn't know each other, which led to the bigger misunderstand, which shouldn't have happened since they had already met. -What happened to Laura (Abbey's Creator), Leah (Finn's girlfriend) and Leah's Friend? They just disappeared and the main group never mentioned them again. -What was Leah's friend's power and why was she at the meetings? -Why did Mark become a tortoise? How? What was his power? -Why didn't Abbey and Alex react to Jess coming back, since she's disappeared for a whole year? Abbey and Alex seemed like nothing had happened. Rudy was the only one who had a genuine reaction. -Why on earth did they get Alex to use his power in the air? -How did Alex survive falling from a huge height with only an aching leg as an "injury"? -Other than as a plot point to set him up with Greg, why was the Closest Gay suddenly working as a Probation Worker? -Why did the Knitting Lady knit the bloody scene, since it never actually happened? It only existed in the Alternative timeline, therefore it was never in their future. So she shouldn't have knitted it since it didn't come true. -Why did Jess tell the Group about their futures? She changed the catalystic events, therefore the future that she told them about won't actually happen anymore. -Why was there such a big emphasis on the Scratch Cards? They didn't mean anything in the end. -Out of the whole cast of characters, why are there only 3 people who have a local accent? Everybody else seems to be from up North, Ireland or Wales. -Why are no Asian characters in the entire 5 series?

They started their community service at random times, Rudy started many months before the others yet they all finish on the same day. That doesn't make any sense.
