This is a surprisingly good anime (The spoilers shouldn't ruin the show but wanted to be careful)

Warning: Spoilers
I think this is unpopular because people think the premise/plot is not evolving. After all, no characters are dying. As in the typical highschooler vs highschooler genre, (the god app is so common it might be considered a genre at this point) this is how the plot advances. But this anime is actually taking a very nuanced take on this genre and deserves more attention.

The whole point of this anime is the fact that the players could kill each other. But that isn't happening. And it is not because the players are capable of changing the system because no solution is presented. Players just simply "illogically" don't want to kill each other. All of this stems from Aristu's sacrifice and the OP's decision to use his power disregarding himself to avoid killing anyone. It isn't until episode 8 that the former villainous proposes the idea of a god granting everyone's wishes. (character development)

analysis up to the current episode, (might sort of spoil it but draws more on the meaning):

But it makes you think what kind of future it would have been without Aristu's sacrifice. And if the OP was consequently more hesitant in using their power. The implication here is that we as the viewers are only seeing the best timeline, but that there were all of these other timelines that Aristu saw in which people were killing each other. Or what if the OP decided to kill one of his opponents? There wouldn't be any sense of community.

So if you consider the premise to be one that ultimately seeks to achieve pacifism, then we are slowly seeing characters develop to be more kind-hearted. With the underlying message is that there is a solution in which everyone achieves what they want but it requires emphasizing with others to see and make that solution happen.

This anime is also surprisingly fun to watch, the tropes that get thrust on certain characters and how they interact with each other. But if you watch this anime with an open mind without prior notions of what player-kill animes should be like you will find this show to be inspirational and fun.
