- Ex-con Lenny Wilson, who Olivia had earlier sentenced to jail, arrives in her chambers asking for help to find a job. He assures Olivia that he has turned over a new leaf, taken her sentencing comments to heart, and was paroled early for good behavior. Unfortunately, nobody will give him a chance to prove himself. Jack and Olivia finally get their time away together, but the weekend does not go to plan.—Greensteam
- Following the Westens' divorce where the kids stay at the family home and the parents are the ones doing the moving every two weeks, Alison figured that her life would have improved with her parents no longer arguing. But things have gotten worse in a different way, as both parents now rag on the other to their children during their appointed two weeks. As such, Alison hates her home life. She contemplates asking Bob and Peg if she can live with them as she is at the Thyme & Tide much of her time anyway for work. That request gets delayed with a change to the Thyme & Tide's list of regular house guests. Olivia and Jack's day away in Seattle doesn't end up quite as either had envisioned. Olivia is preoccupied by the request of Lenny Wilson, an ex-con she sentenced. Now released, he is having trouble finding a job when he is forthright to potential employers about his criminal background, and as such he asks her to help him open that one door he needs to get his life back on track. Although she doesn't see it as her job, she grants his request. But finding him a job may not be that easy, especially when she discovers that she has her own prejudices against him, despite his model prison record. An additional problem is if people won't give him a second chance, will they also immediately suspect him if any wrongdoing happens in Cedar Cove?—Huggo
