Both films are directed by Fernando Cortizo and include technical specialists in its 3D shooting system, animators and model-makers from all around the world, many of whom previously had worked on: Coraline, Corpse Bride, Chicken Run, Matrix and Lord of the Rings. The soundtrack was composed by Philip Glass, a three time candidate for an Academy Award for The Hours, Kundun and Notes on a Scandal.

The mythical adventure follows the journey of ambitious and conflicted convict (Ramón) who has escaped from jail and comes to a remote mountain village along the Camino de Santiago (Way of Saint James) to steal a treasure hidden there years earlier.
What, at first, appears to be a deserted town in which only a few elderly people live, turns out to be a village surviving under a curse that has existed for over 600 years. Ramón soon finds that the harmless elders are actually looking for souls to trade with the grim reaper himself. And, so begins his adventures to find the treasure, understand the mysterious events taking place in the village... Ramón's life-changing encounters offer valuable insights and lessons for audiences today.
Ramón's redemption resulted in a significant and sincere change of heart. Having escaped with his life, the "Road To Redemption" also resulted in a significant change of direction... Ramón became a new man.
In true Agatha Christie-suspense style, the story also takes a hidden look into the values and traditions of a culture that is centuries old and is based on myths and stories of the pilgrimages to Compostela that have been traveled by millions since the 11th century.
The life-like quality of the characters, and the way the atmosphere surrounding them seems to be a living entity in itself, draws the viewer into the film in a new and unique way.
