Two people getting closer far away from home

"Sleepwalking in the Rift" is not a Riot Games feature video for the introduction of Zoe in League of Legends (sorry for that, folks), but it is an American English-language live action short film from 2012 and this one is written and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, who was just selected as the man to replace Danny Boyle in directing the next Bond movie. But we shall talk about this one on another occasion. This one we have here is pretty short at 2 minutes and honestly it looks more like a trailer, but I think this is actually the whole thing. Haley Bennett as well as Fares Fares play the main characters and we see them while hearing voiceovers from the two actors. For me it looked and sounded in terms of style a bit like a trailer for a Terence Malick movie, not as something from a guy who directed True Detective. And by the way won an Emmy for that. This film here is set in Africa and shows us how two White people there, one a tourist, the other a guide apparently get closer and eventually fall in love even it seems from the poetic ways in which they talk to each other. But yeah, it is more about style than about quality story-telling I would say. All in all, you are not missing too much if you skip this one. Quick inclusions by local exotic animals as well some Africant tribe citizens do not really make this a better watch. I was glad it was this short. Watch something else instead.
