What a joke, awful movie
AdbdelKamhal220 December 2013
Warning: Spoilers
If it wasn't for the fact that I was watching this piece of joke with friends, I would be bashing my head against something hard, and questioning the very usefulness of my life. In other words, yes, this movie was THAT bad. I've heard that Frostbite was supposed to be a very bad, very cheap rip off, but Lord almighty! Fifteen seconds into it I was starting to panic.

Okay, I seriously hope the filmmakers weren't taking this too seriously, because it's such a joke.

I leave you with this thought. I mentioned earlier that I was watching this colostomy bag of a movie with friends, where we made sarcastic remarks. My thought is maybe this is why bad movies are made, why Frostbite was made–to bring in more social gatherings. But Bridget Machete please, don't make anymore movie.

Teen unexpectedly moves with family to Finland, discovers small town with big superstitions.
patfaye2029 January 2014
If you are looking for an original film by a new director and writer, this is the film for you! While this is a horror film, there are virtually no gory scenes so it is suitable for all ages to view, although parents should be advised for some very minimal use of adult language.

The plot of Frostbite keeps the viewer attentive and wondering what will happen next right up to the last minute of the film. The character development of protagonist Jake and his family and friend that he meets upon moving to Finland carries the plot from one scene to the next. The superstitions and subsequent laws of the village Jake moves to creates a conflict the viewer hopes to see resolved.

This film encapsulates what it means to vertically integrate filmmaking. The amount of work and effort that was put into this feature length film was largely done by one person in less than a year, which is a huge feat many cannot even fathom completing themselves.

Not a horror film, adjust a fun Canadian romp.

Warning: Spoilers
First of all I have no idea how this got placed in the Horror category, because it is a comedy through and through. There is a very comical storyline part to Sasquatch in the film and the first 2 minutes of the film might make the person who rated it a horror film, but they must have never actually watched the movie.

This is just a fun, stupid, stereotypical roleplay of people, especially Canadiens, but is completely light-hearted and if you like the Trailer Park Boys, why wouldn't you like this movie?

I'm actually surprised this hasn't gotten more reviews good or bad. But, I'm just a silly American that grew up near the Canadian border and enjoy the Canadian sense of humor and this has a lot of it as a B rate movie. And for god sakes it has Kokanee in it haven't seen Kokanee in years here in the states. And, there's Marty McSorley for god sakes it should had Cam Neely in there as Sea Bass, that would have taken it over the top.

Fun Flick
sonnybrutality28 January 2014
OK, so I went into this film with a clean slate, no preconceived anything. I don't want to put any spoilers, but I have to say, amazingly fun flick. I've been watching low budget horror films my entire life and this film has everything a horror fan can enjoy. The gore, the dialogue, the low budget effects... its all there, and pretty damn fun. The filmmaking is resorceful and clever in the same mindset of "VHS". Great use of the envinornment all round. Biggest problem most low budget films has is a consistent tone, and this movie nails it. If there's something that doesn't scare you, you'll laugh like you're supposed to in any good horror movie. Great party movie.... especially for snowy days.
