- Forbidden friendship between Zinca and Victor, 2 kids from Moldova. One day they are getting on a mined field near their village.
- In a poor village near the Transnistrian border, after the war of 1990, there is a mined field, still active. Although the village does not have a school, a hospital and other necessary institutions, Iacob is still living on that land, educating his daughter Zinca in poor conditions of life, who from an early age, without having a mother, becomes self-sufficient. During the summer, in the village, in the neighboring house of Iacob in order to restore a sand pit in the region, moves with his wife and son (Victor), Vladislav - a rich representative of a building company. Soon, between the kids' neighbors, a strong and prohibited friendship flourish.
Among the many responsibilities of Zinca is also the grazing of the cows in the fields near the village. On one of the days Victor, against the word of his father, walks secretly with Zinca in the pasture. Here they suddenly lose the cows on the mined territory and try to get them back by entering the restricted area. Some passers-by observe them and bring the news to the village. Coming to the place of the incident, both parents are looking for solutions to take the children out of the field without harming them. After the explosion of a mine that kills a cow, Iacob decides to enter the field and take the situation in his hands, having had an experience with the mined fields due to his participation in the war. Eventually, Iacob arrives in the field and manages to take out the children, but in order to save them he kills his cow, which is his only source of food.
