The spirit of melancholy
Irena_Spa6 February 2024
The story flows like in a sad poetry and at every step it makes you think what the point is, the search for what. It's beautifully filmed and there isn't much going on, apart from driving a truck. The main character, the driver, who although lost in his problems is trying to get his job done. We don't even know what the job is until the end, and that may be the charm of this film. Basically, it is a question of metaphysical reality, and how well some can cope with losses and the environment, from which they cannot separate themselves. Certain scenes are really done artistically perfectly, as some magic.

Painfuly slow but incredible movie

I watched this movie about 2 weeks ago, but I still can't get over it. The only adjective I can find about it is "painful".

It's painfully slow, painfully sad and when you leave the cinema it stays with you. He story unfolds slowly, the dialogs are slow. There's overall atmosphere of the movie, that is quite stuffy. But all this slowness makes sense in the end and is an essential part of the plot.

It's also incredibly smart and full of cultural references. I was lucky to watch this movie during a festival. The screening was followed by QnA with the director, who explained one or two more difficult references.

Overall, it's probably the best movie I watched this year. Highly recommended, if you know what to expect :-D.
