Seth Gamble visits his boss, a gangster played in glad-handing fashion by producer Axel Braun, and Axel's beautiful young daughter Kenzie Anne immediately seduces her dad's new business investor Nathan Bronson, who's dropped off a briefcase full of cash.
Seth returns to his girlfriend Ivy Wolfe and they spend a day romping at the beach, shot by director in a 1960s-style lyrical romantic mode. However, when they drive back from the beach, Seth drops Ivy off and the car that was pursuing them turns out to be that of cop Lexington Steele, who arrests Seth, accusing him of murdering his partner Clarke Kent. It's the second well-timed cliffhanger finish in a row.
